A thermometer that fails to show accurate temperature
Purchased in May 2022 and this is the reading I took this morning (20 Dec 2022). It is mild today but certainly not 24 deg C outside!! You can see the red line indicating the temperature is broken in several places. A thermometer is not a complex piece of machinery and yet this one has failed after only 7 months. If it doesn’t give an accurate reading, it is next to useless!

Purchased 3. Two worked fine. 1 was not worth having. So to my mind they are hit or miss.

Couldn’t cope with low temperatures
Had this a few months and it worked well and appeared to be quite accurate. However when temperatures reached -12 in December the red liquid separated and it no longer displayed an accurate reading.

Inaccurate and not easy to read
The magnifying effect of the capillary tube makes it hard to read. When the temperature dropped below zero, the liquid in the tube fragmented and became inaccurate. Tapping didn't settle the liquid, and warming and allowing to re-cool didn't work.
