Awesome Ship Model
It made my 14 year old son very happy on his birthday. It was not a great price point but the quality was good.

A great classic Airfix of HMS HOOD warship model
At 1/600 scale, this kit provides outstanding detail, size for easier parts handling than 1/700 scale. Gives a true to scale and historical configuration appearance. High quality molding with minimal flash. Overall outstanding Quality!

Impressive when completed
Overall a fun build. The cannons and gunport hatches can be difficult, the lanterns as well. Hardest part is probably painting the stern gallery so pick up some needles or very thin brushes for those. Turns out a stunning model and would recommend this kit to anyone wanting a solid build

difficult build but rewarding
Seams the molds are worn and loosing definition. Rigging instructions terrible. The company that sold it was great and I received it in 4 days. Only my second model so at times I thought I bit off too much. Turned out ok but, what do I know?

Well crafted ship kit
Airfix kits are easier to build than some others, which makes it attractive if you want something easier to build. It is still detailed but without so many tiny parts as is typical with some 1/700 ship kits from other companies. I always look forward to building Airfix kits.

Okay
Okay kit. Some of the parts weren’t a great fit, and lots of flash on the detail parts, but it all came together. I put mine into a diorama with cannon fire.
