Excellent Choice for baking. Reliable rise in yeast bakeing
I bouguht this to use with a newly purchased bread machine. (The machine was a total waste of money. Never worked and non responsive seller.) This yeast is good, I proofed it before using in the recipe included with the bread machine. The loaf did not rise. Four inch brick of dough. I have used this brand of yeast in previous bread machine and it always worked. The loafs rose well and had a good flavor. I used Fleischmann's in many recipes both in a bread machine and in hand made loafs of bread. It always worked in bread loafs, buns, rolls, whatever I baked at the time. Even new recipes trying for first time. Fleischmann's brand yeast is dependable, easily found, and has always worked for me, I have been baking our breads for over 60 years and this yeast is very good, reliable. This yeast I bought could not rise the bread this time, which I believe to be due to the bread machine used. I tried several brands of yeast all failed. That cannot be the yeast. If biscuts don't cook in the oven it is the oven not the dough. This yeast did rise when the breads were made by hand and baked in the oven.

Works perfect!
Works perfect for my doughs. I use a breadmaker for an easy, but homemade loaf of whole wheat bread or pizza dough. I pop the container our of the fridge (the recommended storage for maximum freshness) and follow the particular recipie for a wonderful rise every time.

Four-Oz. Jar = 16 Envelopes. Get the Jar !
We got sick & tired of paying $4 to $5 per loaf for edible bread, so the Kitchen Goddess and I decided to make our own. After consulting with our Italian breadmaking friends and a few recipe sources, including Cuisinarts, we started our list of necessary ingredients.I guess we should call our bread "Amazon Italian", since many of the ingredients and utensils used were bought here at Amazon.Yeast - Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast -- the same great stuff that our mothers and grandmothers used.Flour - King Arthur Bread Flour -- unbleached. Premium high-protein flour. Made in USA since 1790.Agave Nectar -- used in place of cane sugar.Water -- Double-Charcoal-Filtered.Salt -- Himalayan Grinder salt.Oil -- Garlic-Infused Avocado oil used in place of extra-virgin olive oil.The above ingredients were purchased at Amazon.Flour, salt, and yeast were sifted together with an OXO Good Grips "Shaker" sifter.Bread was baked on Farberware "No-Stick" Baking Pan.Silicone Baking Sheet from Artisan Metal Works kept the bread from sticking, without the need for a corn-meal "dusting".The above utensils were purchased at Amazon.Using Amazon-purchased ingredients and utensils and a combination of recipes, we made 2 beautiful loaves of Crusty Italian Bread -- with excellent color, texture, and flavor. The Fleischmann's Yeast worked perfectly -- easy to measure, easy to store, and completely worry-free.Refrigerate after opening. The 4-oz. jar = 16 envelopes. Product of Canada.

This is great yeast, but Amazon delivered a damaged container and won’t exchange or refund my money.
