These are so good but addicting! and hard to find especially at a good price.
My first experience with these crunchy pickled plums was at my local daiso where they were dirt cheap at 1.50. I used to buy all the bags i could find, but they became almost impossible to find at daiso especially after the pandemic. I've only been able to find them on amazon for a "reasonable" price. They also have a red version available but i prefer the green. They are not the usual umeboshi so don't confused them with regular mushy overly salty pickled plums the kari kari is an onomopia word describing the sound of the crunch. It has an amazing sour salty pickle flavor careful not to bit into the pit. I can only have one occasionally because of the high salt content but if you have no issues with sodium you might end up eating the whole bag. My fiancé and I LOVE them but i have gifted them to friends and some have had a rather strong negative reaction to them. So if you're not a salty sour pickle lover it may be an acquired taste. I can say the flavor grows on you.

Bad experience
Waited for two weeks, never received the package, had to request a refund. So then I had to reorder it, and this time it came in 2 days, but sadly when I open the package, item bag was sticky, The whole thing smells, however the item bag must be broken, inside and outside of the item has all the black liquid leaking all over the place.

Love the flavor
For Japanese living in another country, this is a flavor I do crave time to time. Love the texture and crunchiness.

Great taste!
I love umeboshi and use them medicinally. My mother always gave these to me when I was little whenever I had an upset stomach. And to this day I still eat them when I have nausea or upset. Out of the other brands I’ve had these have the best flavor
