All three readers worked right out of the box, and with no defects. A great value.
As soon as the tag readers arrived and the pin headers were soldered on, I uploaded the "firmware check" sketch to my Arduino and wired them up one reader at a time, and all three readers passed the initial testing. I then wrote up a quick sketch to provide audible confirmation, and to display tag information on a 20x4 I2C character display. All three cards and all three key fobs scanned with no issues.I do look forward to doing more experiments with these RFID readers and tags. For $10, it was a great value.

Great value, work as expected
Can't go wrong with HiLetgo, their products always perform as advertized, and these modules are no exception. Now as far as the modules themselves, the one limitation I found (using 3.3V) is they need to be really close to the keyfobs, so putting them inside a plastic case adds too much distance as the crystal on top adds an extra 3 or 4mm of space. It would be easier with the antenna trace on the flat bottom side.

SPI only
While the chip supports three different protocols the board does not. This board could be much better designed so that it would support UART and I2C communication. If you are ok with SPI only the tags and readers seem fine.

Works
Haven't used these for a project yet but I did test one and it worked.

Good value and performance
Really wanted to play with RFID and these work great. All the cards and fobs worked and the header pins were delivered not bent. All 3 units worked. I've bought a few before from a different seller and they weren't as good. Docked one star for no instructions or links to projects and no mounting screws. But got everything that was advertised, 👍

Great for programming 13.56 mhz cards
I purchased this item to build an easy mp3 player. The intent was to program RFID cards with song numbers on them that could be read and cause a particular song to be played on an mp3 player. This would be particularly useful for older folks or disabled individuals. Add a micro controller and a speaker, a couple of buttons and a volume control. Put is in a case and you have a self contained unit. All are readily available on the internet. This unit works as expected.

Reads badge effectively.
The media could not be loaded. Works and does what it advertises. I used one to build an RFID jukebox.

Work good
Hooked these up to an ESP8266 as a fun project. I intend to make it so these cards can open our garage as we already have a deadbolt lock that can scan cards to unlock.Range seems good and was pretty easy to hook up with a little research on SPI. I do wish they had I2C support out of the box.
