Bright Colors, So Far So Good
I purchased this item as a replacement to a different after-market lamp for my Epson 8350 (old lamp had about 3k hours on it). The first Araca lamp I purchased worked fine for a day or so, then started making some loud noises. I put the old lamp back in, contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement.I finally got around to using the replacement lamp and it has been working fine for about a week without any issues. The colors are very bright, probably as good or as better as the stock lamp that came with the projector.I have also been very impressed with their customer service. It's nice when a place stands behind their products and are willing to replace items when there are issues. I know a lot of people have reservations about after-market products, but I'm always willing to give them a chance. Especially when I had to get my entire Epson project replaced after a few months. Sometimes even OEM products have issues.

3 months only
Bought it February 25, now is May 25 and bulb exploded. The initial set up was easy and the bulb was bright. Only 3 months of using it and is gone. Very light used. Once or twice a week.

Works fine and you can't beat the price.
I've got a couple hundred hours on the lamp and have no complaints. I bought my projector used with no bulb so I have no frame of reference on the brightness. I can say that the picture is stunning as long as the room is fairly dark.I bought the used projector AND this lamp for about half of what the OEM lamp alone would have cost.

Defective (internally broken) out of the box. BUT THEY MADE IT RIGHT WITH ME!
After reading the reviews I bought this unit for a back up for when my current lamp fails (first mistake). Today my old trusty lamp failed so I unwrapped the original Amazon unopened shipping package and opened the box. Low and behold it doesn't work, I tried de-installing and reinstalling it several times. As I examined the lamp I noticed the very center of the lamp/lens has an internal post that was slanted to the side, bent like hell. There is no way this could have happened from shipping, it had to have happened at the factory while making the lamp as there is no way to get to it under the lens glass. Very disappointed, can't return it due to the fact I bought it earlier this year. Only advice I have is DO NOT BUY THIS LAMP, VERY BAD QUALITY CONTROL. Money down the drain...........UPDATE: fantastic customer service! ARCA people reached out to me and sent me another lamp FAST. New lamp is functioning well, clear and bright. I'll update if need be but so far so good. Satisfied Customer!!

As good as original
As good as the original bulb at a fraction of the cost. Installed in less than 5 minutes. I have been using in my projector for two months now and it is as bright as the original Epson bulb.

Low quality
It's frustrating that the lamp didn't work, since we ordered it to our home in the US and brought it to Mexico where we spend most of the year. Immediately the "replace lamp" sign came up after installing. We shouldn't see that for 3 or 4 years, at least. and then looking at the picture, it confirms that the lamp is poor quality. I feel that we wasted our money. Hopefully we can save other people from making the same mistake.

Not Compatible with EPSON PowerLite® Home Cinema 8345
While this lamp will fit, it is not compatible with EPSON PowerLite® Home Cinema 8345. For this I blame both EPSON as well as Araca. To prevent the use of aftermarket bulbs, EPSON made their projector beep every few seconds if an aftermarket bulb was installed. I found numerous examples of other people with the exact same problem on various help forums. While visually the bulbs are identical, Araca should have ensured that the EPSON PowerLite® Home Cinema 8345 would not recognize their product as an aftermarket bulb. I will say that it was nice that the box came with a single white glove that could be used in replacing the bulb. I was forced to return the bulb and continue shopping for a bulb that would work.
