Durability is key!
Had this lighter since Feb 8th and I'm tempted to say it's one of the best plasma lighters out there for the pure value and functionality. I know it's not waterproof but just the other day it got wet, dropped it in some water. Let it dry out and still going strong! I'd highly recommend this lighter solely on the safety feature/Battery life but this sells it even more so for me! Easy 5 stars, give it 6 if I could.

Stylish.
I like this lighter a lot but as of now it stopped working. It will charge but it doesnt light anymore. I'm going to write the seller and see if they will do anything for me.Its lightweight which is perfect for my pocket. It doesnt weigh my pockets down. The black color matches about anything. On the front, thin side it says "Lighter" and has four dots that light up & shows you how much battery life is left. The battery life last a ling time. I charge it once a week. It charges quick & easily fits into the USB cable they provide. All in all I like it a lot. It's a bummer it stopped working after about 6 months, so theres that. I'll come back and update if the seller does anything about it but as of now I cant recommend. ♤J♤

Battery Life
If you are a regular smoker, the battery will last about a day according to my wife. I do not recommend it for a survival/bugout item unless you have a way to recharge it. It is a nice looking lighter and works well though.

Believe it
Believe it when the advertising and the reviews say the lighter is cool. Also, I would be careful to follow the advice to keep it away from children. Any lighter presents a hazard. But this one is exceedingly easy to use: flip open and hit the button. More than that, however, is that it is not readily apparent that the "flame" is a "fire"; and the visible portion of the arc only has to get near -- not touch -- for it to light something on fire.Part of the cool factor is the uber-black case. But do not let the finish lure you into using this on a special ops stealth mission. The bright blue lights illuminating the switch and indicating the charge will be a giveaway when trying to light the fuse.Edit: I've had the lighter a few days and I'm not sure how many times I've "lit it up", probably dozens. And the charge lights are still at "4". So far, then, the lighter has exceeded my expectations. The claim that it can be used 600 times on one charge seems reasonable. I've ordered a second lighter, although from another dealer. It seems a number of companies are selling this particular arc lighter. The other dealer had it in a different case color.

great EDC lighter
as much as "rechargeable digital lighter" sounds funny to say, This one has a lot of uses outside lighting up the occasional smoke. Ive used it to make minor repairs to plastic, and smooth out Kydex. I have it in my pocket for what ever might pop up with no fear of fluid leaks. The battery indicator on the side is a very nice touch. I always get comments when I use it, people are very fascinated by it. The outside of the case can be laser etched as well. Very cool and very worth the money

Not Great for Cigarettes: Forget Pipes or Cigars
Okay, I'm tired of the newer BIC lighters stopping at halfway through, with half the fuel remaining. I want a refillable butane lighter, and they're almost impossible to find now. I've been using the cheap Clippers -- the ones that allow refilling and also replacing flints. But they don't work all that well. I figured I'd try this newer type of electric lighter. I've had other electrics, but they have a coil that gets hot, glows, and you press the cigarette against that. Not great. This seems to be a typical "plasma" lighter, also known as an "arc" lighter because it shoots an arc spark across two contacts. This lighter has two sets of contacts so it's a "dual arc" system. I bought it because it has LED indicator lights so I'd know when it was low on battery power. But I'm not super happy that I need a USB cord and port, along with external power to keep the lighter charged. How's that "easier" or "better than" having a can of butane around? When I got it, the packaging is beautiful! There's no brand name, so I have no clue who makes it, but it's from China. It was 3/4 of the way charged, which was nice, so I started using it. Not so great. This lighter has the four arc contacts facing straight up from the top of the lighter. When you open the top, they're not at an angle like other arc lighters. The instructions suggest holding the tip of the cigarette about 4mm above the sparks, but that doesn't work.Arc lighters do give off a very hot heat, but from watching people on YouTube, it looks like that heat is directly within the sparks, not radiating upward. I finally had success lighting the cigarette when I touched the end to the sparks. If you're used to a visible flame, you'll need to learn a new habit or system. The other problem with this lighter, in comparison with others I looked at (after buying this) on YouTube, is that the space between the four contacts is very small. It's slightly smaller than the diameter of my cigarette end (Pall Mall 100s). I can get the cigarette lit, but if you're smoking anything larger, like a cigar or trying a pipe, forget it.Going back and looking at pictures of these lighters, I see that the "sparks" being shown seem to bend upward, offering a "flame-like" contact for the cigarette. No they don't! They're pretty darn flat, so you have to be pretty exact how you make contact with those sparks, while holding a cigarette in your mouth or the other hand.I like the price, which turns out to be about average, and I like that it's mostly windproof. But this isn't going to work for lighting a cigarette one-handed, driving a car with a window open. The sparks will fire up nicely, but I'd have to focus all my attention on getting the end of the cigarette exactly in the right place to ignite. Kind of a problem while driving. So although the technology is interesting, and I don't have to buy butane or lighter fluid, the actual purpose for the lighter isn't being accomplished. It does have the 4 LED lights, which light up whenever you open the lid, and I can SEE when it needs recharging (lights go out as charge depletes). Most gas or fluid lighters nowadays don't show anything about the fuel or fluid, so you run out when you can't refill them. It's crazy. This lighter was down to 2 LEDs, so I charged it with the accompanying micro-USB cable. It took almost exactly 1 hour. The lights blink in sequences while it's charging, then hold steady when it's fully charged. I like that - very nice. So easy and quick to recharge (I just did it while on the laptop, working).I saw some reviews for larger arc lighters, built as a cylinder or tube form. The arc contacts are raised, and spaced farther apart. It looks like those would be easier to use lighting a smoke. Maybe next time.

Boy scout camper approved!
I originally bought a regular lighter for my son who is in boy scout and goes camping every month. The regular lighter didn't last him more than a couple of hours and stopped working right away. So I bought this chargeable lighter for him. He took it to his recent camp trip and said mom! Everyone was trying to light up a fire and no one was able to do so except me! Somehow this little gadget did what several regular lighters couldn't do. The full charge lasted him days on the camp trip. Very impressed.
