The Kitab-I-Aqdas (Forgotten Books) Paperback – December 20, 2007

If you are a Baha'i this book is a must. It is the book of laws for the Faith, and instructs us on how to live our lives. This could also be a great thing for a seeker of the Faith to read and learn how Baha'i live their lives, and the administrative order. The Kitab-I-Aqdas is very powerful and also beautifully written by Baha'u'llah and translated into English by the Guardian of the Faith Shoghi Effendi, the Great Prophet's great grandson.

Great Book, definitely a Holy Book. A good combination of poetic sentencing, and peaceful but power guidance to the masses. Take heed world.

This is a book of laws and guidelines for Bahai. They can be incorporated into daily life by those who endeavor toward higher spirituality.

This sa not the best first book for someone that is curious about the Bahai Faith. Try "Bahaullah and the New Era" or "Theif in tne Night"(William Sears) for basics. Also, "Some Answered Questions" by Abdu’l Baha, and for history of the BahI Faith - anything by Adib Taherzadeh.

Baha I'm llah's faith and values presented for all to see. While not necessarily devoid of theology, it is mostly a presentation of basic rules for everyone to follow that will lead to the most great peace and the inevitable peaceful world order.

On the physical book, it's well made and the text is easy to read, the fact that it has not only the text of the Aqdas itself but the prayers, codification, and notes on the text also help aid in understanding.On the actual text, having read the Bible and Qur'an as well I can say this doesn't come across as anything special or different. If you don't find either of those compelling (particularly the Qur'an as this references it multiple times) you won't find this compelling.

My copy of this book is very good! It is not the original work as laid out in the 73’ version (it’s a copy & even says that at the beginning of the pages of the book) - but - my copy is still very good and easy to read! However, I did order an original (used) from Amazon (waiting for it to arrive). So, either way it’s still a very valuable piece of work! I love it at least & the price is right! So, if you can’t afford the original (this will most likely fill the bill)! As for me - I think God will understand (no matter what choice you make)!

the book is in great shape. it is so nice to have the bigger print as I get older. The paperback is just too small.
