This is a great tasting product. We usually order the chips (which arrive by UPS packed on ice ... we live in the Hawaiian islands) however we received a notice that the chocolate chips were unavailable. The wafers were their suggested option. So we went for the wafers! They arrived through the USPS, and were completely melted. This was a huge disappointment. We poured out the melted chocolate on a pan and put it in the freezer. We are trying to make the best of an unfortunate shipping decission.

I like the consistency and texture of their small chips better, but these are also tasty if used for melting. They came fresh and well packaged in insulation and ice. I used these to make chocolate and peanut nut chunks with some cocoa nibs for a healthy alternative to the 56% dark chocolate peanut chunks I could find at the store. The result was addictive and delicious. These chips melted well, but I recommend not trying to melt all of them at once or they will melt unevenly. Make small batches.

We are thoroughly satisfied with these Organic Dark Chocolate wafers - good quantity, good taste, great for either quick snacks or melting and baking.A key factor for purchasing this is economy - Guittard's version is similar and available locally for $0.83/oz. So, assuming that price stays constant (it has for at least a couple years), then a price of $29 or less for this 35.2 oz bag is worth the purchase to us.

Ordering this was a mistake, I thought I was buying the 100% cacao paste. I took a bite of one of the coins and thought, "dang, this is ridiculously sweet" yeah, this is 70% chocolate, it contains sugar. Overall it was still quite good though. I consume a lot of chocolate, the darker the better because I am an amateur connoisseur. I like the richness and complexity of cacao. This is a very standard bag of chocolate. It won't blow your mind, but I bought it at a good value. It is well blended with the sugar and very creamy, not harsh. It doesn't seize as easily as 100% cacao, so it melted well for use in hot cocoa and whatever. I didn't have any problems with melt upon arrival. Overall, I would buy it again if I needed 70% cocoa.

Arrived in good condition and am enjoying

I think what's disturbing is is that I bought their chocolate for $22 months ago and now I look online and I see it for $37 or something like that I think that's insulting and I think it's wrong to do that to your customers I get it it's winter time it's easier to ship chocolate won't melt but what makes your chocolate more expensive than in the summertime when you have to put an ice pack in there just to keep it cool enough it doesn't make sense

These organic wafer-shaped chocolates are perfect for baking! I used them to make Christmas bark. The taste is amazing! So easy to melt and a great quantity as well!
