Korean Red Ginseng Extract Paste, Vegan Friendly (120g)

This was the first time I've seriously used ginseng. I knew for a very long time that Korean Ginseng was legendary and was highly sought after in ancient Asian history. I don't like taking prescription medications and prefer to go about things more naturally now that I'm in my 50's. I've always suspected that OTC ginseng products were sketchy and they're often capsules or pills. This time I wanted to try out the real stuff, in extract form.The first time I opened it, it looked like sticky tar, I was familiar with this because I saw something similar as a plum product. This item comes with a 2pc plastic spoon you screw together and is a good quality spoon which I use to pull a spoonful and mix with boiling hot water. I tried it pure by dabbing a tiny amount on my finger and noticed the bitterness. Being Japanese-decent, I'm used to bitter tasting herbs so this didn't overwhelm me.After stirring it in a coffee mug, I tasted it. I decided it would be nicer to add some organic raw honey, about a teaspoon and was very happy with the results. I normally would crave soda, diet Pepsi or something similar but I haven't had much of it because this is so much better.I don't feel anything special honestly, it's nothing like a sugar or caffeine boost. The sensation is more like feeling more balanced. I wasn't craving snacks or any sweet drinks, my digestion seemed better, and because I wasn't snacking as much, my weight dropped a little, and it's only been about a week or so.Going back to digestion, I noticed I don't feel bloated all that much, and my visits to the bathroom are much more complete IYKWIM. I'm much more calm, I'm more focused without using caffeine or soda, I sleep much better for some reason and I feel a lot more relaxed. Again, the best word I can use to describe using this is feeling very balanced. Nothing overly anything, just very balanced.

I have been taking ginseng for years off and on. From powder pills and tablets of dubious quality and content to liquid extractions with water or alcohol used to make their products. Now on a health trek for letting myself go down hill for so long. I was looking for healthy things for my nafld'd liver and kept finding articles on ginseng that support a healthier liver and lifestyle. I bought 3 jars of this other top end ginseng extract brand, but when I went to their website, I found out they used 4-5 year old ginseng root, but in a round about way on their advertisement, they say 6 year old ginseng root is the best. Not that they uses it? At these prices, I need a clear and fact filled statement. CKJ says in their ads and on their website and on their product, WE USE 6 YEAR OLD GINSENG ROOT. PERIOD! I'm upset I got scammed out of 65-75 dollars for 3 jars of dubious quality product.I did further research and found this brand, CKJ on the internet, read reviews, etc. I kept looking for the best and it kept coming up;CKJ. Most trusted brand in Korea and Asia and Europe and the US,etc. Buying the 240 gram jar gets it in the same price range as the slightly inferior product. Both of these products are so far ahead of all the other products I've bought, it's like they are in two different classes and they are. It's just that CKJ is Superior and if you can buy the bigger jar of CKJ, it's comparably priced with the other product, it will last a long time. I drink this morning and night for health benefits. It's thick as tar, not runny and diluted, hard to get a exact measurement, don't really care, dissolves in my organic cacao, organic whole milk, spring water, mixes with molasses. What's not to like. I go to sleep better, wake up better, can't wait for my breakfast drink! Or my evening drink! LETS GO!

I paid $100 for an empty box and to be told that getting a replacement or refund is out of question. Still in the middle of this "seller mistake meets poor customer service" situation but assume it'll pan out.I purchased the 50 gram (1.76oz) first to test the product. It's watered down (admittedly) but still does the job for a natural energy maintenance supplement.This product being slightly watered down is an advantage for those who gag from pungent foods as it makes it moreso bitter.
