Have no idea if it works for water copper pipe. Bought it , and use it in 1/2 water copper tubing and worked perfectly.Well worth the money

I used this to expand HVAC copper tubing. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid, but this tool worked perfectly. It got me great swags, I soldered with staybrite 8 and got a leak free joint on the first attempt. I took my time with this tool, a little at a time.

Works but you may need to switch angles
To ensure copper wire doesn’t come out oval shaped it’s good to switch angles to ensure more even stretch in a circle perfectly round.

nice buy , and it works
Bought to use as a back up tool for my HVAC work and ended up using it as my primary tool. simple to use and very sturdy design not a cheap feeling tool.
