Cool but LOTS of tannins. I boiled this baby at least 4 times and it still stained the water. I’ve come to realize spider wood is a better option. Overall it’s exactly as described.

This was a great piece with a lot of character and a lot of nooks and crannies for the freshwater shrimp. It's only in a 10 gallon aquarium, where it's the perfect size. I soaked it about a week to get the tannins out, and the water never got as dark as it's gotten with some of the pieces I've used in the past. I was able to attach three java ferns to it, and it looks really nice. It's now got one small section with black fuzz growing - likely fungus. I think the shrimp will get that under control shortly.

This piece is awesome for my divided 10 gallon tank. It is about 10” in length. Mine is like a triangle shape. It’s thick too, about 4” in width. It looks amazing underwater. It hasn’t emitted any tannins. I only boiled it for a couple hours and then let it sit in existing tank water for another 5 hours, but I don’t think it even needed to for that long. It’s a great addition to my aquarium. The white stuff on it is sand that I haven’t brushed off yet.

This is the grossest and most toxic looking piece of driftwood I have ever seen. Not a chance it will go in my aquarium no matter how much I boil it. Zero stars 10/10 do not recommend buying from this seller. I don’t know what river they drug this out of but given its Cheeto like coating I am assuming there are lots of manufacturing plants on it. I hate to lose the money but this is getting thrown into the woods.

We bought 2 branches for a new aquarium. They both arrived broken as they were only wrapped in bubble wrap and sent in the lightweight plastic Amazon bags. We decided to keep them anyway because it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning and getting another set of broken branches. I boiled the pieces in an old crockpot I have in garage for stuff like this. Branches then spent a couple of weeks in my outdoor pond to get waterlogged and release more tannins. After placing in aquarium they continued to give off a bit more tannins, which is fine. It cleared up after a couple of weeks. Overall branches are very nice and a good value. Only complaint is how poorly they were packaged.

Love the real wood for decoration, easily plant real plants with this. Rinsed and put in a new aquarium for the front days before use.

This wasn't just a concept of the picture, it was exactly like the picture. So much character in the shape that I can't wait to use it. I'll definitely buy more. Kudo's the seller!!!!!!!!!!!
