Made well
Works great. with straight branches. Difficult if you have Y branches or crooked branches . Had to do something deer were eating tree bark. I suggest using gloves to attach . Fingers got cut up &scratched. My tree is older. Best used for younger trees.

Solution to deter wild life
These Mesh Tree Bark Protector Guards are GREAT! They were easy to install and have great airflow. I was using a drain pipe for my fruit orchards but found it was causing issues with my trunks and this solved the issues.

Works but too expensive
Simple solution but costly to protect against deer tree damage. I have tried hardware cloth, and two different plastic mesh protectors. I cannot find a good cost effective solution comparable to the old tree wrap tapes from the past.

Great protection for young trees
These lightweight plastic barriers do the job nicely and look decent. They easily trim to fit shorter trunks and aren't bothered by water or wind. They were a little fiddly to install with the zip ties. I recommend getting another person to hold the ends in place for the top and bottom. After the first two are in place, the rest are easy-peasy. A fine product for a fair price.

Strong, tall tree guards that work
I saw these tree guards as I walked with friends encircling trees spaced along a rural field. I was interested because we have planted 4 sunset maple trees in our yard recently. It was obvious, as I went over to touch them, that they are made of strong but flexible plastic. They are about 4 feet tall so they do prevent deer rubbing and killing trees. They also prevent weedeater damage from those who won't get down and pull weeds close to the tender tree trunk. On my advice, our Garden Club bought a set to protect tender, young trees in a memorial garden we helped create in our town. They are relatively inexpensive and effective. There's no sense buying trees to plant unless you're going to protect them from damage. That's just throwing money away.
