Not their best, but still better than the MLEDs.
I'm gonna try and keep this review more brief, but not gonna promise anything. I didn't buy these here on Amazon, I got them elsewhere. I was looking to replace my Mini H1 6.0s and first tried with the MLED 2.0s, but that experience was extremely disappointing.First off: the width is not in the league of the Mini H1s. While better than the MLED s, it's still not as good as with the Minis, and this is a projector with a 3" lens. But it's still more than enough for most and only the biggest nitpickers like myself will notice. When I first bought these, I didn't realize how much the anti-reflective coating on the lenses affected the color of the output. While Morimoto claim that these actually help brightness, and yes it helps, the color is affected. If you use 4300k bulbs in these projectors, they'll end up looking like really bright, evenly distributed halogens with a sweet, colorful cutoff line. 5000k bulbs will have a slightly green light output. I actually uploaded their color table and while I can't say how the 6000k bulbs will look, their results are very accurate. Keep this in mind when choosing these projectors over G5-R projectors which have clear lenses, but slightly worse width performance. So the recommendation with these are the Osram CBB bulbs if you want nice white color output.Installation is easy if you've done retrofits before, but buy the lock ring installation tool to make your life much easier.Shrouds from Morimoto snap right on although not as securely as with the MLED 2.0s which were actually a very secure fit, so maybe add a dab of JB weld if you're so inclined to keep these absolutely secure.I'm generally satisfied with the performance of these projectors, but I wish Morimoto would have kept on focusing their efforts on overall light distribution rather than making a really intense hotspot so they can claim higher LUX readings on their meters. But the value for money is less than before because I had to spend an extra $250 for new bulbs and ballasts considering how much those lenses affect the color of the output.I couldn't include pics of the high beam output because I didn't check both solenoid connections before re-sealing the housings and one didn't make complete contact. Definitely a minus also, as those plugs are kinda hard to push in. My rating is 4 stars but I'd rather give these a 3.5-3.75. Still very good, but Morimoto can do better, even though I doubt they will since HIDs are going the way of the proper manual transmission while still providing superior performance over LEDs in all but the most high-end luxury cars.Pics: cutoff line, output in a lit parking lot, plus the effect of the hotspot on the ground compared to the sides, output on a dark road, and the color table. I'll update with high beams later on.
