Works great!
Works perfect with a hitch extension on my Ranger. I have ran about a ton of seed and fertilizer through it and a couple hundred pounds of corn with zero issues. The remote is a huge plus, I would definitely recommend this spreader.

Horrible spreader
Don’t wast your money! I bought this spreader today mount on my UTV. It was very easy to assemble and is well built. Trying to determine the proper flow rate is all a big ass guess. The worst part for me was when I started spreading seed, the broadcast width is only about 6 feet. I usually have great success out of Boss Buck but this one they really failed miserably. I’ll try to retrofit a different motor and blade next year but for now, I honestly feel these units should be taken off the market.

A bit of a hassle to use repeatably, but the quality and durability make up for it
Works pretty well for me! So I wanted to be able to spread dry materials on my lawn, and the ground-contact driven spreaders do not work well for my hilly and bumpy property. Looking at electric-powered spreaders, I found that they are not well rated and do not last long, so I decided to give this one a try. Assembly was reasonable and quick if you have sockets and wrenches. The wiring is really cool, as it allows for direct battery connection with clamps, and turning the unit on or off with a remote, OR plugging into existing, switched-power (SAE plug) if your vehicle is wired for that. It even has an adapter for 4-prong trailer plugs. As clearly discussed in ad and reviews, the spread pattern is a bit narrow. While I can see how others have modified to widen it easily, I chose not to. Narrow means I won’t spread salt far off the driveway to damage my lawn, nor waste seeds and fertilizer flying into the woods.2 things could be improved to earn that last star from me in actual use. There is no agitator for stirring material in the hopper. Unlike many others, there’s no way to put an R pin or zip tie through the motor shaft, because the shaft doesn’t enter the hopper at all. If the material is clumpy, it’s not going to work in this unit. Secondly, there is no way at all to adjust or stop flow from the driver position. Yes, one can switch off power to the broadcast wheel, but material will still be dropping onto that plate until someone walks back there to manually close the valve. And there are no marks or guides to help reopen it to the exact same position!Despite these issues, the unit is heavy duty, quality made using quality materials. It’s going to last as a genuine piece of agricultural equipment, not a plastic and disposable toy that works once. I’m happy with my purchase. Edited to drop one star, since the color of the lawn showed me that fertilizer coverage was inconsistent. Only one star removed - after all, it was made and designed for seeds not fertilizer

Immediate quality issues
The product had initial problems right away. It was relatively simple to assemble, but I had to use a hitch extension for my Polaris. It fits loosely in the hitch, causing a slight wobble, though it still works.Upon setup, it lacked power due to a faulty two-prong connector (recommended by Amazon), requiring me to solder the wires directly for functionality. This wiring issue is a significant flaw; a direct plug-in design for an ATV's spare power outlet would be more appropriate.During its first weekend, I spread 1000 pounds of lime. The motor's power is somewhat overwhelming, enabling a 25-foot spread radius—much wider than a tow-behind spreader. This requires careful positioning to control the spread. However, its continuous operation at slow speeds is a plus. The wiring problem is manageable for the DIY-savvy but may frustrate those expecting an easy setup. I'm concerned about the durability of the wireless remote, as there's no backup control. I'll revisit my review after spring and summer to see if it lasts, though it seems maintenance after each use might be necessary.

Great design, bad welds.
The design is amazing. The problems seem to have come from the manufacturing process: the spot welds on the lid to the piano hinge did not hold on one side and the other side had only one spot weld hold. The tack welds on the edges of the hopper look like the had good penetration but, for some reason, the weld beads were ground flat and there was not enough filler to hold the sides together. So, before I was able to use the spreader, I spent over an hour welding on it. Assembly was super easy and the elements of the spreader are good quality. The wireless remote does not work. The battery was at 12 volts and I just gave up on trying to figure out what was wrong with the transmitter or receiver. Wired direct with a switch and fuse. Works great.
