GREAT tuner BUT NOT a MyGica
,/////Edit to add this important info:This is not a MyGica as described and pictured, it is almost identical in appearance but it's not a MyGica, the little block adapter doesnt have same streamlined shape, nor does it have MyGica or HDTV logos on it, but it's a out the same size. It has a different interface with the tv schedule and channel display and recording interface. What this is a "PadTV" dongle, and that is the software you download. This may explains why it works with my Samsung phone when MyGica specifies it wont. It's because it's a PadTV.Now with that being clarified, what follows is my original review from last week, I am still very happy with my purchase. But the seller should be listing the actual product that he's selling./////////I had looked at several and went with this one because it had a lot of reviews and there seems a lot of the youtube videos demonstrations for this. So I bought this one...Now, how I managed to miss the bold red print above the description saying "THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH SAMSUNG PHONES! ~ or something to that effect, I don't know, but I didn't see it till just now after I've been watching OTA tv on my Samsung S8.I opened the package, connected the supplied adapter for my phone and attached one of the supplied antennas (I used the little one). Downloaded the PadTV app from google play, installed, ran a channel scan, only found ten channels but I was inside, and using the small ant. The picture excellent, sound fine, no stuttering on any channels, everything's great. Then I come here to review it only to discover it wont work with my phone.Well, I don't know, so far so good. I'll come back and let you know if it quits working. But really, so far as I cam tell it seems to be working fine and I see no reason why not to give it 5 stars.Edit: I mentioned I only got 10 channels with the little loop antenna but later I rescanned with it connected to the supplied rabbit ear antenna and recanned and it found 35 channels (which is more in line of what I usually receive). What's more, surprisingly it seems to receive signals more reliably than my Onn Ruko TV with a larger antenna. This thing works excellent both with or without selecting the hardware acceleration option (not sure what that even does). Also as I previous pointed out it works perfectly with my Samsung S8, but now I have it hooked to my old inactive Cricket phone (Cricket Debut 2) which is a cheap $30 phone and it works perfectly on that too, which is good because it leaves my active Samsung free while watch tv on my old Cricket.Showed it to my friend yesterday and now he's buying one!.

Need to rethink this product.
Does an ok job of loading channels but it does drain battery rather quickly. There is a need for ability to charge device while using this product.

Pretty awesome
For less than $20 my expectations were not very high. But it arrived 2 days after I ordered it, and the EXTREMELY easy setup/instructions couldn't have been simpler. Within 5 minutes of opening the box I had Over the Air tv playing on my Motorola Moto G 5g. The picture is crystal clear, the sound is great, and most impressively, I have 54 channels while my Samsung 42" tv only receives 45 channels. It has PIP (picture in picture), recording, channel guide, show reminders, and more. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I was only sent 1 antenna, rather than the advertised 2. I'm contacting the seller to see if the 2nd antenna can be sent. You should buy this inexpensive, super gun and extremely simple to use tv setup to make your phone a tv! It's a steal!**Update: had initially given it 4 stars and complained I only received 1 of 2 advertised antennas that come with it. I didn't see the 2nd antenna had fallen on the floor when I opened the box. I sincerely apologize to the seller. And with the 2nd antenna now in hand I am enthusiastically giving this product a wholehearted 5 stars!

Pocket TV
When I initially received this item, after finding the corresponding application that went with the device I was somewhat disappointed because after scanning and picking up channels with the antenna adapter there wasn't any sound. I found others seemed to have this issue and they recommended an older version of the application but that didn't work with my phone. However, the manufacturer recently issued an update and the sound works and it works great. Picture quality is as good as on TV, there's no lagging difference with the sound, and the antenna really picked up quite a few channels.

No reception on any channels and that’s ok.. I would love for it to have worked….

Pleasant surprise!
Wow, I hooked it up and once I selected country, it found tons of channels with the larger antennae. Only seems a little fragile so be gentle with is. I use it on road trips and at my cabin.

No channels found
It's nice when you get it to work the first time on a samsung s20. Now I have a s24 and the app doesn't open. I used a s21 and it doesn't even pick up any channels.

Works as Advertised
Very happy with how well this device works. I downloaded the app from the playstore, connected the device to a Samsung tablet, connected the antenna I use for OTA reception at my house. The scan found 70 channels. I am about 40 miles from the transmitters, so I knew the wire loop and mini rabbit ears that were included would be useless, still I tried them and I was right-no signal on any channel. The key is the antenna. I also tried a Winegard amplified Flat Wave antenna. I placed it about 6 feet above the ground, and pointed it in the general direction of the transmitters and it also worked well and gave me all the channels from my previous scan.I was glad to see the micro-USB to USB-C adapter was included. The plug-in receiver does get warm during operation, and it stays warm if left plugged in to the tablet. So my guess is it uses tablet power even if the app is closed. It would be nice if the app had a pause live tv function. I haven't yet tried recording a show, nor looking closely at the channel program guide in the app.
