Good quality
Perfect for our pump - have had one before some years ago and it has lasted well. First purchased because the newts were getting into the pump - this item has completely stopped that happening. Thank you Oase 👍

finer mesh
this is a sturdy item and the mesh is finer than some others on the market, which is what i wanted to try to prevent smaller wildlife being sucked against the filter . it does seem to stop the filter getting clogged up so quickly

Purchased for wildlife pond.
Pleased that it seems sturdy and fitted over our pond pump. Sad that some of the tadpoles in the pond (for whose protection we purchased this item) still managed to get sucked up into the water feature.

Oase Protective Pond Pump bag: Solved a filter pump clogging problem.
I had problems with my filter pump impellor getting clogged-up with small debris, despite being enclosed in a 6 mm strainer cage. This resulted in gradually slower water flow and necessitated frequent pump cleaning. So I bought an Oase protective pump bag, which has a very fine mesh to block the smaller debris and this solved the problem. I'm really pleased with the result. The pond is now really clear and pump maintenance is reduced.

Stops pump getting clogged
Used this on my large(-ish) pond pump (Superfish ECO 8000), which easily fit inside. Now the pump flows freely and does not get clogged - great news for me and my fish 😉🖖.

Wish we had got one sooner
Looking after the garden pond is my husband's department but he doesn't like writing reviews. But I can say that he is often saying how pleased he is with this product, that it works really well and he wishes he had got one sooner.

It's a black, plastic mesh bag that appears to do the job
The pump has now disappeared from sight once it was enclosed in this bag. (Originally, the Oase logo on the pump was visible through the water).It seems to be made of a quite sturdy fabric - as you would hope for the price. Seemed sensible to use an Oase product to match the pump - experience suggests they are a reliable manufacturer.Only time will tell whether it helps avoid clogging of my pump - but at least most pondlife can no longer be easily sucked through the system.
