My hairdresser has one that is very smooth with no drag… this kind doesn’t feel smooth on the skin, the repetition is deliberate, and has rather large ridges in the blade which seems to cause the blade to not thoroughly defuzz the skin.Wish I had seen the ‘no return’ on this, but I will probably pursue a refund , since the item doesn’t work properly. I might try it on some pilly sweaters!Update:I have since used this on sweaters, my arms, and legs. Especially great for that almost invisible top layer a dead cells on legs!!! I just changed my review to 4 stars from three. I still don’t use it on my face,,,

I've been shaving my face for years now and have never had this issue before. It did get all the hair off and I love that it folds into itself, but I think I'd recommend trying a different brand first.
