Recommended by my Surgeon's Physical Therapist
This is the one my physical therapist told me to use after the surgery. It's very good, the cold lasts quite a while, it's pliable and can fit around your hip after a total hip replacement.

Great ice pack - molded shape, freezes quickly
My PT turned me on to this brand of ice pack. I am using two of these post surgical recovery and I would be a hot mess without them! These freeze quickly, but not super hard. I can mold them to the position I need on my leg and they work well for providing concentrated cool. These are gel packs and they are not heavy, great to maneuver when needed. The outer bag is easy to clean off and we can store these well in our freezer either flat or folded. These are a game changer for comfort and I'm so glad I found these on Amazon!

Reduce the swelling and numb the pain!
Needed an Ice pack after having a knee replacement. Bought this after using one at physical therapy. It is perfect for knees or shoulders. The gel pack stays cold for 45 minutes to an hour without being hard or stiff against your body. Produces little to no condensation and is easy to mold to what body parts needs iced. Best ice pack I have ever used!! You will get more like I did!!

The coldest and longest lasting Ice pack
Had ankle surgery and this pack was amazing. It stays cold for a long time and gets cold in the freezer really quickly. Covers a lot of area and is moldable around my cast or behind my foot or knee. Bought two of them and was worth every penny.

Fantastic ice pack!
After recent major knee surgery, I was tired of using ice cubes in a ziplock, or frozen veggies to ice my knee. After using this ice pack in physical therapy every couple of days, I decided that I really wanted to have this at home. Purchasing through my physical therapy office was too expensive, so I was VERY happy to find this product on Amazon, and ever happier that it works phenomenally well.I ordered the oversize version because I'm 6'9" and have longer/bigger than average legs, and it wraps perfectly around my entire knee, giving relief to not just the top of the knee, but sides and underside. It really helps with swelling after a grueling physical therapy session, and provides relief after a long day of re-learning to walk again. I've had the product a little over a month and I only have two minor complaints:1) I wish I had found it sooner; right after my injury during the 3-day gap b/t injury and surgery would have been amazing, but post-surgery is when I really needed it. I didn't start PT until 3 weeks after surgery, and didn't look into purchasing this until after a few sessions when I realized how good it was. Doctors should prescribe this ice pack (various sizes) pre/post-surgery to all knee surgery patients. It's that good.2) I do wish it lasted just a little bit longer. It only lasts about 30 minutes at full coldness. This is usually enough, but it would be nice if it lasted like 45 minutes.I would recommend this version to anyone who wants full coverage when icing their knee/leg. The fact that it wraps all the way around my leg is what sold me, but it's also wide enough to cover my entire knee and then some.No quality issues here (knock on wood), but it's good to know the manufacturer protects against leaks etc. It does take up a lot of space in the freezer, so be aware of that. Do NOT fold it in half, arrange your freezer so you can lay it flat length-wise across the top of everything, and you'll be good to go.

Large and cold!
Best ice pack ever! Needed for my hip. Large enough and stays cold longer.

Great ice bag, love the heavy weight!
Excellent ice bag. I had knee replacement and bought a few different bags before coming across this one. Its heavy weight really hugs my knee all around. This is similar to the one used by my Physical Therapy office. Highly recommend, stays cool longer than other bags.

These blanket-sized ice packs are above & beyond any other ice packs out there for so many reasons
These blanket size ice packs are insanely better than all other ice packs out there on so many levels! As someone who suffers from chronic back pain and currently dealing with a medical issue causing my feet to frequently swell up upon overexertion, I spent so much time and wasted money searching for ice packs that could serve all my needs. I found it next to impossible to find one that is made out of flexible-when-frozen gel, without an unnecessary additional outer fabric or vinyl covering as it seems to block too much of the cold; that was not a quilted pattern bag as those always end up leaking when the gel forcefully causes the quilting to rip apart from itself; that is not just a large enough square/rectangle to successfully ice my entire back with just one ice pack, but is also heavy enough to be weighted so as to help itself conform to my back without requiring the aid of sandbag weighting over it when icing your back while laying face-down. (I also need a big enough size so that I also have the option of being able to wrap my entire foot when they are hurting in just one ice pack, so that I don't find myself having to constantly adjust one average size one over and over especially when doing this would end up causing me to hurt my back because of constantly bending down to adjust positions all over my foot over and over.I do have a request to the manufacturer, though! Is there anyway to know which gel I'm getting with my purchase because, after recently purchasing my third one of these I realized that the gel inside was not exactly the same as the first two. The first 2 I purchased are filled with a gel that when from are semi-soft gel, (it almost feels like it's filled with almost a very hard frozen ice cream when first coming out of the freezer. When those 2 are no longer cold, that gel is closer to the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. This newly acquired 3rd one I purchased is a much different gel. This gel regardless of whether the ice pack is freshly frozen or room temp is very liquid in state at all times. I found this to have its very own crucial benefit but also another crucial downfall inn comparison to the other version. The always seemingly liquid one always the ice pack to contour to your body's every shape and curve. When I wrapped this one around my foot for example, it felt almost as if I was reaping the benefits of instead sticking my foot in an ice bath rather which is a much better coverage for such pain with such a problematical topographical surface! But note too that because of this constant more like liquid state at all times, this did result in the ice pack losing its cold much faster than the others. Because the benefits are so varying, I want to purchase another always-liquid-like-state one, but at nearly $40/a pop and chances being 50/50 obviously of receiving that one I want, I was hoping you might take my advice and list both separately for purchase, explaining to the consumer the differences as both having their own practical applications, and downfalls considering the more semi-solid gel form when frozen could never contour to my skin no where near as great as the liquid does!
