Don't follow "sync" instructions!
The media could not be loaded. Nice sleek design. The sync instructions provided do not work. You will need to:1) Open your Fitbit app on your phone.2) Select your picture (usually on the top left of your phone app), which will take you to your ACCOUNT.3) Select +SET UP A DEVICE4) Scroll to your device, select, and it will sync once you tap on the device you want to sync.BEEP BEEP BEEP - update update...Ok, so what I just realized is that the phone will lose connection via the Bluetooth scyn. This is okay, all you need to do is:1) Open your Fitbit app2) Step on the scale3) Tap "SAVE" in your app...So, that annoying piece of paper with these instructions should tell you how to SET UP A DEVICE before this sync instruction, that'd make it a lot easier. It seems that a company like Fitbit would catch that and correct the instructions provided!**I was not able to sync my weight and save it until I removed my socks. After I removed my socks, my weight and other info were able to sync. I don't know if that was a coincidence, but it would make sense that you would need to remove your socks since the scales log more info than just your weight.Hope this helps!

Works great and accurate
I have been using a fitbit since they first came out and have had several versions and several phones in that time. This was not easy to set up. I had it ready to box and give up at one point. The button on the bottom is you best friend in this situation! Now that I do have it set up it works very well and is the weight is the same as at the Dr's and it is sensitive to the ounce. Once I set- it adds my weight to the fitbit app and calculates how close I am to my goal, this was the feature I was excited about. Give it a couple of attempts when setting up, this might have been easier if I was newer to fitbit and hadn't had so many Fitbits on and off. Anyway keep at it and reach your goals!

Fitbit App Not Necessary
I checked this scale measuring a set of weights I knew were exactly 10 pounds, and it came out correct. Tried weighing myself with and without the 10 pounds of weights, and it performed as expected. So as far as I can tell, it works. The most important thing for me is that no app or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection is necessary. I don't have a Fitbit (or a Fitbit account), and none of that was required. All I did is take it out of the box, pull the tab for the batteries, set it on the floor, and weigh myself. Simple as can be. I didn't need or want Wi-Fi/Bluetooth syncing—I just wanted a scale that looked nice and didn't give me measurements for anything other than weight—so I can't comment on whether the connectivity works. But if you're looking for a simple scale that looks nice, you can't go wrong with the Fitbit Aria Air.

One week no connection issues
I’ve only had it for a week now. Works like a charm with no connectivity issues. The down side was following the manual is not very descriptive as far as pairing device. Had to work out myself. So if you can get past that it would be 5 stars after a week

Perfect if you like tech support chats
I followed the skimpy directions. Turned on blue tooth, opened FitBit app, stepped on scale. And then I have to manually enter the weight because nothing I tried allows the scale to talk to the phone (Android). I hope someone knows how to make this thing work, or it goes back! Too expensive to have it not work right out of the box. UPDATE: Online customer support told me to open the app to today, click my picture, then the plus and add the scale. I did that. It then worked. These directions are not in the box. They worked to get the weight to the phone app. Why is it still a one star review? Every time I weigh myself it unpairs my Charge 5 from everything. I have to go through set up all over again as if I just bought my Charge 5. HUNK OF JUNK. DO NOT BUY. /written while on "hold" with the customer service bot again to figure out the unpairing issue. UPDATE 2: I was advised to keep my Charge 5 in a different room when I weighed to avoid unpairing. I did and it worked -- my weight updated and my phone did not disconnect the Charge 5. But the next couple of days the weight would not go to the phone app. I replied to tech support who then advised me to have no other bluetooth devices on when I weigh. Laptop and printer are bluetooth but since they were off I tried today and my weight registered. so, if you leave your fitbit in a different room and turn off your bluetooth device the scale might send a weight to your app, providing you have the phone's bluetooth on and the app open to today. Can't wait to see what doesn't work tomorrow. This is too much money for a scale that does not work as advertised.

Needed a new one
Been using these for about 5 years now. My other one finally wouldn't connect to the app or if it did it wouldn't send the weight over. I figured 5 years is a good run with 3 kids and pets knocking it around. Got this one today and instantly found with the app and works just as good. Love being able to upload it because my Dr can see it from my health app instead of having to go in just for a weight check.
