Comments about wire legs and difficulty to insert wire legs into holes
The REAL DEAL. NO joke - these are made in the USA of real quality material. Featherstone trademark cast into the bottom. The color is excellent. Perfect size. Very Nice thick plastic and feather detail - nicely done eyes and beak paint. Very happy with these. OH, and I noticed the ends of the wire legs are cut by some kind of shear which creates an uneven edge at the end of the wire making them difficult to insert. DO NOT try to shove them in without using a file, or sandpaper, or do as I did and touch them up on a fine wheel bench grinder, to put a smooth bevel on the ends. They slide right in about 1/4 inch now and butt up against a closed end hole. Very securely seated. Easy to put in and remove. Highly recommended.

OMG!! Mid-Century Vintage Charm!!
Don Featherstone Flamingoes are an American Institution!Quality is 5-star! Size, color, materials, Packaging, wing detail on birds, strong yellow beak color, strong anti-fade body pink color, easy to apply legs, are all the best quality.I bought two as a test. I will now 'Get Flocked' and buy ten more so I can have a flock of flamingoes on my lawn. How 1950's is that? Since mid century is now the rage in furniture fashion, it goes with the flim-flam pink flamingoes. Lovely birds!!!Do you know why flamingoes are pink?Because they eat a certain shrimp which gives them their pink color. Why are the shrimp pink?Because they eat a red algae that provides this pink color. Why do they eat this red algae?Because it contains high amounts of a potent antioxidant called Astaxanthin.Astaxanthin keeps them vigorous and young and prevents aging. This is why the flamingoes eat them too, and turn pink! Now you know what no adult could tell you when you asked as a kid!

Classic beauties!
My last identical pair of these flamingos lasted 15 years making this purchase and outstanding value. Of course the fact that they are still made in the USA is something else I love about them. The color is brilliant and I simply love these classic poolside cuties!

Flamingos. We all need them in our lives. ...
Flamingos. We all need them in our lives. Right? A pink flamingo invasion right in our backyard? Our front yard? Or photobombing our pictures? Which is what I bought them for. It was an idea that never quite lifted off the ground so one flamingo is still in my trunk and the other is by my hottub, hanging out in tacky pink flamingodom. These really are holding up well. Well made. Thick plastic. Bright colors. Haven't seemed to have faded. Probably outlive me. You need one.

I love these things. So stupid looking that they're actually attractively fun!
In my attempt to go "mid century modern" and in light of the fact I knew I would never pay for an Eames chair or a George Nelson marshmallow sofa, I thought the pink birds were a perfect addition to my back yard. Certainly a conversation starter. So many things scream mid century, but none quite so fun as lawn art, right? I'd put them in the front yard if I thought the darn HOA wouldn't come calling, which would then just get me going, and really for what? I do have bigger fish to fry so why tempt a tumultuous moment over pink plastic. Good (enough) quality for inexpensive pink plastic birds although I enhanced the stability of the metal poles at the point where they are inserted into the birds by creating an invisible glue bond.

The most adorable way to tacky up your yard
I purchased this pair to replace a worn flamingo pair I had and I absolutely love it.What I like:1. The details are the best I've seen in a pair of plastic flamingoes. If you want something to look nice this is the one to get. They are as good as they get no doubt about it.2. The color is dark salmon instead of a hot pink but its what gives them the most beautiful and sophisticated look if there was one. I love the color so I'm all happy here. What I don't like:1. The legs! While I don't move them from where I stuck them in the ground sometimes a big wind comes and knocks them off their legs. I only wish this part was a little more permanent so they wouldn't wobble about. This is easily fixed but for the price I wish wished the legs were a little bit more sturdy.Overall, I find them to be The Best brand of flamingoes you can find. If you want to tacky up your yard in the most adorable way, these are the ones to get! :) If they ever fade I am definitely coming back for another pair, this is how much I love them.

Kitschy - Love Them!!!
I live in Florida. Yes, I realize that these did not originate in Florida but if you think about pink flamingos exactly which state comes to mind first? And I live in a vintage house. I just completed some landscaping and was looking for some finishing touches. I decided Pink Flamingos would be perfect.I didn't want just any pink flamingos; if you are going to be kitschy at least be authentic. So I was going to go looking for vintage era-appropriate pink flamingos. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the originals are still made today, and voila here they are. So I get "new" vintage pink flamingos from the original manufacturer - perfect.TBH - love them. My landscape project needs more; definitely getting more.

A little touch of Cheektowaga for any yard
These are the real deal -- the honest-to-goodness Featherstone flamingos, just like what you'll see in east suburban Buffalo's iconic kitsch-filled front yards. Just looking at them makes me hungry for a Chiavetta's at the Our Lady Queen of Perpetual Sorrow lawn fete, or a Genesee Cream Ale-battered fish fry at a tavern off offa' Unionroat. It's just the right touch of CLEEYAHS for the yard, as the ladies down at Stella's Hair Styling would say. Get a pair of these old school flamingos, display them proudly, and make your babcia smile the next time she drives her sky blue Dodge Aries over to visit. Na zdrowie, Buffalove, and go Bills.
