Charges phone fast! Needs "pd" wall charger to charge
**Update**I got a new "power delivery" charger, and it now charges in a reasonable amount of time. Having used this backup for a while now, I can highly recommend it. It has been a life saver, and... The battery lasts for a long time.**Original Review**I ordered this for when my wife is at a craft show all day without any power plugs and needs to keep her phone charged in order to accept credit card purchases. For charging a phone it works great! It arrived with maybe 25-40% battery, I plugged it in to charge (with my qc3 charger), and after 2.5 hours it was still blinking less than 50%. My first thought was... Wtf, the description said it charges back up quickly... My second thought was to check the "instructions". I found out that the instructions are completely useless, so I then googled it. I found the answer - in order to quickly charge this unit (20,000 pd), you need a "pd charger". Seems there is a special usb c high capacity "power delivery" charger that is around 45w for the usb c port. With this additional charger, I can charge this unit faster (supposedly - mine is on order now). I'll update after getting the new charger.Pros:- comes with a charge- comes with a USB C to USB C cable (1-2 feet)- nice design, feels well built.- a button to easily see the units current charge- charged my phone fast- while it doesn't look like it will fit into the included bag, it fits nicely. :)Cons:- requires a specific charger to charge in less than 15-20 hours.- instruction manual is useless

Wonderful battery pack, gotta clear up some confusion!
I was incredibly confused on how the fast charging worked on this charger so let me clear it up now. This battery pack is optimized to work with USB C specific items, that means that both ends of the cord are USB C. If you have a Pixel or Samsung / other Android phone / a Nintendo Switch, then this unit will be ideal for you. Now, if you have a USB A to USB C / USB A / micro USB / lightning type of cord, it will still work, but it won't charge as quickly. That means if you have an iPhone or any other device that doesn't have a native USB C port, you won't be able to utilize the full potential of this battery pack.Clear as mud right? Now here's the deal with the way to charge the pack, you NEED a wall plug in that uses a USB C type of input. So, if you have a Pixel phone, congrats, you've got the right type of wall plug in! If not, then you do need to purchase a different type of wall plug in that has a USB C input.Everyone still on the same page? Ok, on to the performance! This pack is a beast in every sense of the word. It charges incredibly quickly, and you can use it upwards for at least a week before needing to charge it back up. It takes about 4-5 hours to fully charge back up and it's small enough that it fits into one of my backpack pockets. To put it in perspective, I could play my nintendo switch on high brightness while it was plugged into the battery pack and it still charged it up. I've even got third party controllers on my switch, which takes up more energy and it still charged it up!This is a very specialized type of battery pack that is built for folks who use USB C cables. If you're not a native Android user, it's probably a good idea to look elsewhere. Otherwise, this was a great deal and it really helps keep me and my wife charged while on the go and it's been significantly less stressful to know that I won't be left floundering with a dead phone. Hope this helps clarify some things for folks!

A workhorse of a powerbank!
To say I love Anker products is an understatement. I’ve been using Anker chargers and power banks exclusively for about eight years now. We have Anker car chargers in both vehicles and several wall chargers at home and for travel, all compatible with our USB-A and USB-C devices. We always choose PowerIQ chargers for safer, smarter charging. The PowerIQ feature automatically shifts into a trickle-charging mode to prevent overcharging your devices.Back in 2020, my husband and I each bought a 20,000 mAh power bank when we upgraded to new phones that support faster charging. Before that, we both had 10,000 mAh power banks for our older devices, which didn’t support the faster charging rates of the newer phones. My husband used his 20,000 mAh power bank daily for his phone, PC headphones, and other devices. I have used mine a bit less frequently. After about four and a half years of heavy use, his power bank recently stopped holding a charge. When he looked into it, he saw the battery had puffed up, a sign of swelling in the internal lithium cells, which can happen over time. So he disposed of his. Since I haven't used mine as often, mine is still going strong. While it’s a bit disappointing that his gave out, it truly was a champ and served him incredibly well. We have no regrets about the purchase, and when our budget allows, we’ll definitely be picking up another Anker power bank.

Great fast charge but poor longevity
Used for travel and around the house. Design is great. Really like the textured cover. Fairly light considering the amount of battery. Great fast charge. Biggest issues is the battery juice meter, very inconsistent. Once it hits two dots it dies very fast and one dot is basically dead, only a few minutes of charge. It would be great if it gave a percentage. Multiple times I had three dots and took for travel to only have it quickly die unknowingly that it was at a low three dots and I was stuck having to ask to borrow a charger from a friend. Also from time to time when charging, the unit will emit a high pitch sound static sound.Update. Anker customer service reached out and sent a replacement item. No more battery reader issues or high pitch static sounds. Must of had a defected item previously.Update: after one year of use. The battery charge hold deteriorated extremely fast. When new I could charge my phone about 4 times and now the battery can only hold a charge to charge my phone once. This is a pricey deposable battery with a very short battery charge hold life cycle.Update: Anker customer service is A1 A+
