Excellent... Updated 9-2022...
***Updated 9-2022***After the wheel service mentioned in the original review below, I completely tore the bicycle down and used this grease on the pedal, steering, bottom bracket and freewheel bearings as well as the Omni 191 fork. Now, the bicycle has never run smoother or quieter. The bike was a 2003 GT Palomar that had less than 100 miles on it and had been sitting since 2004 or so. It had never been serviced or been apart aside from it's initial assembly when new.As I mention in the original review below, during the rebuild, I discovered that most of the bearings I serviced this time were not really lubricated or properly adjusted from the factory. The steering head bearings were dry, pedal bearings were dry, crankset/bottom bracket bearings were so/so, but not preloaded properly so the bike always had an annoying light clunking sound when pedaling.I figure you can get 2-3 full services with the tube of grease depending on how you use it and the type of bearings that you have. This bicycle has all loose bearings. No complaints at all with Phil Wood Grease. Please know, when I greased my freewheel, I did the bearings and a light smear on the Pawl. If you like to hear your freewheel click, do not do this. With the little bit of grease I applied to mine, my freewheel is almost silent. Also, if you choose to lube your freewheel Pawl, and use too much grease, from what I've read, it will affect how it engages when pedaling during cold weather riding.***Original Review Below...Read reviews and bought this to service my loose bearing bicycle hubs after truing the wheels. The first thing to mention is that the item was delivered in a padded envelope to a rural mailbox on a 95 plus degree day. While the tube was hot to the touch when removed and the grease very soft within the tube, the unsealed screw on cap had absolutely no seepage. I also serviced the hub bearings in 90 degree heat and the grease was fluid but solid. When you do a hub bearing service, be prepared. You never know what you might find out during disassembly. In my case, I found the front hub bearings were adjusted too tightly, one bearing was missing from one side of wheel and the dust cap had been poorly installed and deformed. There wasn't much grease in the rear bearings either. As I'm the original owner, the bike had seen less than 100 miles and had never been serviced, this was how the bicycle was assembled at the factory.I would recommend, having bearings on hand, even if you plan to reuse yours. They have a tendency to escape, no matter how careful you are. As inexpensive as they are, it's best just to replace them...Make sure you count how many come out of each side of each hub.... that's how I learned one was missing.Have cone wrenches so that you can properly adjust your hub bearings. If you have a freewheel hub and take it apart from one side you won't need a cone wrench. However, you will need a cone wrench to adjust your front wheel bearings. After the service and truing, the wheels spin about 4 times longer than they used to and were noticeably smoother when riding. The bike has seen a few weeks of riding in the 80-90 degree summer heat and there has been no oily seepage around the dust caps.So far so good. No complaints.

No finer bearing grease!
Phil Wood grease has been my mainstay for over forty years. Heat tolerantand resistant to brealkdown, I've used it on my bicycles and anywhere I've lived a bearing set.Tried other grease but always came back to Phils.

Long lasting and waterproof
Can't say enough about this great grease. I've used this grease to overhaul the front and rear hubs, hanger set, and headset on my 1974 Schwinn Speedster. The result was super smooth operation--rides like a brand new bike now. Also, this grease is very waterproof meaning I don't need to worry about riding in rain or washing my bike. Some say it's pricey but I think it's worth every dime. I've used about a third of the tube to overhaul the entire bike and that was using it liberally.UPDATE: I've since used this grease to overhaul the hubs, freewheel, bottom bracket, and headset on a 10-speed from the '70s and had the same great results. The Schwinn I lubed with this grease four years ago is still doing really well. I will occasionally get caught in the rain but everything remains nice and smooth.

Doesn't smell like Park Tools
Doesn't smell like Park Tools one which I can't stand. Used it to re-lub my Garmin rally pedals. Very smooth now!
