Yes it is from the actual Dead Sea. :) This company is legit. Also, this isn’t just the salt. It contains sediment as well or ‘mud’ as they refer to it. So, it has some moisture to it and is not a dry salt. It’s phenomenal. I love it.

Q: How much should i use for a body soak?

In order to maintain good health by bathing regularly in Dead Sea Bath Salts, it is not necessary to use 2 pounds of salt for each bath. Two handfuls or ¼ cup of Dead Sea Bath Salts will provide enough minerals to nurture and sustain the body.

Q: Do these salts have a smell to them?

I've used a different brand and it had no smell. I can detect a smell in this one, but maybe it's because it contains mud. The mud does have a certain smell to it.

Q: Can you use this to make body cream?

It is wonderful as a body scrub mixed with the oil and essential oil of your choice, but I don’t think it coul be used in a cream.
