The media could not be loaded. This charger does the job. I lost my factory charger and this was shipped to me in one day. Compared to the factory $90 price tag, this does just enough to satisfy my need. The only thing I would point out is that the magnetic piece that connects to the laptop isn't as magnetically strong as the original charger so you want to make sure it is secured before you go about your tasks. Other than that, I can't really tell it's not factory other than cosmetic differences. I'll have to wait to see how long it actually takes to charge in comparison to my old one. If you don't want to purchase the $90 replacement from Microsoft, I definitely recommend this one.

Perfect cord length especially when you need one to travel with. I have gone through so many charges bc I have either gave them to others to use, have pets that destroy them or my significant other uses them but lately I’ve been buying so many from this source to put everywhere and it’s so easy and effective. Works well! Would rather pay the price on this one than a $100 on the Microsoft website when it works just as good if not better.

The media could not be loaded. I accidentally broke the plug from the original charger, so it wouldn’t plug into the wall properly and charge my laptop or anything plugged into the USB port. I was in dire need of a new one. The one day shipping saved laptop! I was hesitant to just but one from the Microsoft store being that this one is LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE. When I got it, I compared it to my original charger and everything matched up! I also liked the secure packaging, ensuring that it wouldn’t break in transit (as you can see my box did get hit on the corner) Once I plugged it in, my laptop was able to charge. I would definitely purchase from this store again if needed! 10/10!

I bought this after my stock Surface Laptop charger suddenly stopped working. It was immediately evident that the quality of the plastic isn't as nice as the stock one, but it does the job just fine. After a couple months of use, the "cap" on the flat end fell off, making the LED light a bit annoyingly bright.Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. What it lacks in build quality, it makes up for in price. I think that 99% of people who buy this are people whose stock charger broke/stopped working, and are just looking for a replacement that isn't $100 (which is a ridiculous price for Microsoft to be asking). This product fulfills that requirement, and if it's at the expensive of slightly worse build quality, I think that's a worthwhile trade-off.

Stopped working after on one month

The media could not be loaded. This cord works perfectly, my old cord from Microsoft got a short in it and was taking longer and longer to charge, and longer to even turn on when plugged in. As soon as I plugged this cord in I could turn on my Surface. It also still has the USB hookup in the adaptor box so it's a perfect replacement cord. I also love that the adaptor is closet to the plug than my old cord, so that it can rest on the floor and I still have plenty of cord to set my Surface on a table without the adaptor hanging from it.

This is my second copy of this charger. I move around a lot, and all the connecting and disconnecting ends up fraying the end that attaches to the computer. This is a problem with all chargers, so no real complaints there. In fact, the first of these chargers lasted me longer than both of my OEM chargers, and at around a third of the price!What's good? It charges my Surface Pro. The magnet attaches nicely to the laptop. It's lightweight and is easy to put into a bag. It's cheap. All that is great.What's not so good? There's a cord clip that can slide up and down the cord. When this clip is slid all the way to the magnetic connector, it often interferes with the connection to the laptop. So almost every time I plug in the charger, I have to slide this rubber clip up the rubber cable. This adds more wear and tear to the weakest part of the product, and is an annoyance.What's bad? The charger (both this one and the previous version I had) cause the Surface Pro Keyboard Cover's trackpad to malfunction. The mouse will just sporadically stop working (it's like it crashes and takes 5-10 seconds to reset). Disconnecting the charger resolves the issue right away, and the OEM charger did not cause the issue. The problem persists between multiple Surface Pro laptops and multiple Surface Pro Keyboard Covers.I cannot express how frustrating the trackpad crash problem is. Using an external mouse resolves the issue, but there's a lot of time where using an external mouse isn't feasible. For example, sitting in airports and working on documents is a painful experience.Am I going to send it back? No - it still charges my computer. I'm going to use this one on my desk setup where I have a dedicated external mouse, and grab a better charger for travel. But you should know that this product is NOT as good as the OEM (it's also about a third of the price).Would I recommend this to others? Maybe, depending on use case. It's a cheap charger. It has problems.EDIT: Very soon after I wrote this review, the charger started sparking when attached to the computer. As it does not appear that this can operate as a safe charger, I'm returning it.

The media could not be loaded. I have the original cord but I like to keep it in the car since I use the laptop when I'm out in the field and not close to an outlet. This spare cord is to use at home or the office. It was delivered very quickly. I've been using for a couple of weeks and have not had any issues. It has been a life saver when I don't have my other cable handy.
