It's good
Everybody should try it once. It pairs nicely with a candied bacon that's currently being featured at a certain fast food establishment. But after about a week, the opened portion started to smell like a decorative halloween hay bale, so I pitched it. Worth the experience, though.

Try it with Jam
Try it with Jam, it's really good that way. By itself the bread is a bit bitter. I haven't tried it with any kind of meat because I don't think the bitterness will lend itself well to making a normal sandwich but with anything containing sugar, it is really good.It's quite moist and slices decently into circle slices. Adding this to my emergency food supply with jam.Kind of a pain to get out of the can. What I found works best is slice one side open cutting down with the can opener, cut the other side on the side so you are left without an edge on the can, then use a butter knife to go all the way around to get it to unstick from the can.

TOO HARD TO GET OUT OF CAN
I really wanted to like this because my other choice for breakfast was very pricey. I will admit the taste was good but what I had to go through to get it on my plate was just too frustrating. I took both ends off the can as instructed and tried to "gently" push the bread out with a spoon. Yeah right!!! Wouldn't move. I took my fist and pushed with all my strength and was able to get a small amount out. Today I tried again and just gave up and threw it away. I'm sure if you want to scrape it out in pieces it would be OK but that's not what I bought it for.P.S. I spoke to my sister and told her how I couldn't get it out of the can and she said take both ends off and run a knife around the bread. I'm going to buy another one and try it because it really is very tasty.

Tastes like cereal
Does not taste good at all. Flavor taste like bland bran flakes as a bread. If u like tht flavor cool. But if u r expecting like outback steakhouse weather bread flavor u will be sadly disappointed. Other than the flavor it's quite good quality. If they could fix the flavor it be amazing.

I bought this bread in a can after hearing a discussion about the factory in Portland, Maine that had made this product. Never before I had heard about baked bread in a can and I've never seen it in the grocery store so my curiosity was peaked! When we popped open the can, we were pleasantly surprised to see what resembled a moist dark bread but we also learned that you can't just get the bread out by opening only one side of the can so after removing the top and bottom of the can we were able to get the bread out in one solid...loaf? The rounded loaf was surprisingly tasty! It was slightly sweet and very moist and dense. We sliced some rounds off, heating some and leaving others unheated and then tried the slices with and without butter. It was good either heated or unheated but definitely top notch when heated and with some butter. Even though they will sadly no longer be making this in Portland, Maine, I hope that B&M continues to make this product because we will definitely be buying this again.
