Blood Type B Food, Beverage and Supplement Lists (Eat Right 4 Your Type)

A handy pocket reference for blood type B diets.
So now that you've read Eat Right For Your Type and are familiar with the basic theories behind the blood type diets, you need a list that you can grab and take with you on those grocery shopping trips or for those dinners out where you may find menu items that you can't quite remember as either Recommended, Neutral, or Avoid. This is one of those pocket references that was made to be convenient for these situations if you happen to be a type B like most of my family.(If you haven't read the abovementioned book first, you should. It explains in detail the hows and whys of eating according to one's blood type - O, A, B, or AB - instead of the dictates of popular trends. Foods are divided into three lists for each blood type: Highly Recommended (foods that have some great benefit or another and act almost as medicine in your system), Neutral (basics that are neither highly beneficial nor bad), or Avoid (foods that you should avoid, either because they have a bad effect on your blood type's metabolism, immune system, digestion, etc). But back to the review...)The format of this list book is divided into convenient chapters that each represent a food group, such as Ch.1, Meats and Poultry, Ch. 2, Seafood, Ch.3, Eggs and Dairy, Ch.4, Fats and Oils, and so on until we have categorized every type of common edible into 14 sections altogether. Each chapter also has a brief introductory essay explaining a few highlights of the lists that follow, for instance, why certain healthy veggies such as tomatoes ended up on the Avoid list for type Bs and why Pineapple is on the Highly Recommended list. Most of the selections are not explained in detail however, so the reader must take these recommendations on faith. Also included are chapters on supplementation and medical strategies utilizing these lists. Now several years have passed since the original publication of ERFYT and I have noticed when comparing the lists in it verses the lists in this more recent pocket reference that there are several discrepancies. For instance, salmon was a Neutral fish in ERFYT but it now ranked as Highly Beneficial. That could very well be because of the research that has been done after ERFYT which uncovered new benefits of salmon that were unknown before; I suspect several of these improved rankings have a similar explanation There are more examples from each chapter that I could go into. I can only trust that these changes are indeed the results of further research and not publication mistakes.Bottom line, this is a very convenient reference to those of us who may have lent our copy of ERFYT to a friend after discovering the great personal freedom and physical well-being that comes with aligning one's diet with blood type. Get this one if you're a type B; otherwise get the one that matches your blood type.-Andrea, aka Merribelle

Mind Blowing!
Great and easy read! The food group categories each have three sections: high beneficial (food acts as a vitamin in your body), neutral (food acts as food with no negative or positive effects), and avoid (food acts as a poison to you body).Changed my life in a great way! No longer feel bloated, lethargic, or gassy after meals. Best of all… losing belly fat. This book is a game changer for health with a bonus in weight loss.

Nice investment in your health
Exactly what I was looking for, this is compact, light weight, and will fit in most ladies' purse. 6 3/4 X 4 1/4 X 1/4, the book lists categories of food (meats, seafood, eggs and dairy, oils and fats, nuts and seeds, beans and legumes, grains, bteads, and pasta, fruits, juices and fluids, spices, condiments, herbs and herbal teas, miscellaneous beverages. There are also supplement advisories and medical strategies. Of course, the book begins with basic info about type B blood and the blood type connection. Within each section of food types, you will find: categories of highly beneficial, neutral, and avoid foods. There is even an ancestry breakdown. The medical section takes a condition (e.g. cramps/gas) and tells you what to supplement with. There are suggested reading materials and reference info in the back.

Book was ok.
The book had some good information. It was very short, expected more detail from it, although I appreciate the food list.

Didn't read it yet but I knowe it is indispensable, personally...garrentee you that
No joke. I kept buying chicken in different packages just because this jock/muscleman fellow I saw bought some nice lookin breast by an organic Bell and Evans company. This stuck in my mind of course, so I over time filled my big freezer with chicken. Bought the chicken, however, never had a gumption to cooked it. .......... Hey, I could cook a good chicken if need be. My uncle Clement was an Olympic Culinary team member with a pastry shop next to the Whitehouse for many decades. I spent lots of days watching him as a kid through high school, living a block away, so trust me I could get you screaming for more in the kitchen. Uncle Clement WAS the "food network" in Washington DC back in the day, is an understatement. So back to chicken which of course B blood people can not eat. That whole stuffed accumulated freezer of chicken I was taking about was given to my wifes piano tuner because we wouldnt go near it. Turkey on the other hand is a different story . So people, friends, this counts for something wouldn't you say? Both of us simply , well, AVOIDED chicken naturally. Thank God I do not purchase chicken any more and other NO NOs. for that matter. Makes me sick that I goofed. My piano tuner is jolly as he can be as he and his lovely wife CAN eat chicken all day if they want to . And thaT IS ALL MY STORY. And it's been at least twenty years since I took to the road with with this, no more like seven years since feeling my head is on straight and am loving life in a very keen way. Just bought the "Deflect B " product too. The Lectin Blocker developed by Dr Adamo. Excellent price I might add. Thank you for reading.

A must for people struggling with weight gain, health and fitness issues
This book is awesome as it is small, concise and to the point. Its all the information you need for your specific Blood Type type and condensed from of the main book, Eat Right 4 your Type. The book explains what foods your body type best digests, in a simple "Highly Beneficial", "Avoid" , "Neutral" format. When I stick to this lifestyle habit of eating my energy is through the roof and waist line shrinks. When I go off the food plan I don't feel good, when I go back to, 3 days later good to go. This concept of eating certain foods that match your blood type is common in the Athletic world, especially in Europe and Russia, specific to gymnastics. It is also quite widely used in the world of golf professionals. Nothing to loose and all to gain, actually lots to loose, your waist line :)
