Dust Collecter leaves less dust! Wow!
It works! A few minutes to figure out which adapter collar my Milwaukee 4.5" angle grinder took, add the supplied spacer to put the blade more in the center of the collector, then adapt your shop vac to it and cut! I was cutting floor tiles to clear the way for wall sole plates for a new pantry and my wife made it very clear that she did not want to be cleaning the house of dust in every nick and crevice. While some dust does get away, it is minuscule and over 95-98% ends up in my shop-vac with a HEPA filter bag in it!* From the pictures you can see that my Milwaukee 4.5" angle grinder took a red spacer with the flange. You want to make sure that the shroud fits good and tight as if it doesn't it will come while cutting and that will be a big mess!* Don't forget the supplied spacer to keep the blade more centered. Just note that on mine, I had to take out the little bronze washer that came with my diamond blade as it caused the blade to spin loosely. Just make sure that the blade is sandwiched tightly between the backer / spacer assembly and the spanner nut.* While cutting make sure that you have locked the depth flange to the correct cut depth (the metal part with the black fastening nut) and have it make complete contact with the floor! When that minuscule amount of dust does leak it is not from the round hole on the side (leave it open for air intake to create the air flow needed), but from the bottom if you tilt it and thereby have the depth flange not flat with the floor!Overall, this was a great purchase and I highly recommend it. It works!

Fits Dewalt DCG415W1
This fits my Dewalt DCG415W1 like I would expect a $30 universal dust collector cutting shroud. If you expect universal to mean auto-magic, you should look elsewhere. You have to remove the guard release lever and are left with not a lot of clearance. Performance is great. I had another vac standing by in case there was some flying. The other vac was not needed as no dust was observed escaping while cutting tile.

Works with Dewalt DCG Cordless Angle Grinder
I wanted to write a review for this product based off a Dewalt cordless Brushless 20V angle Grinder (DCG models) I’ve been reading how a lot of people have been having problems installing. With a little playing around, to get this universal shroud to work well first you need to unscrew the spring loaded hammer along the collar of the grinder. This is usually used to step-lock the OEM black hood that comes with the tool. By doing this you will give yourself the room you need to fit the provided collar spacer snug around your tool. Then when you do this place the shroud over the collar and screw tight the clamp. You may need to adjust the position of the screw knobs the hold the shroud together. Slide the wheel on and Allan wrench down. The provided hose adapter works amazing with a 2 1/4 inch shop vac hose. You need to take off the rubber reducer and you should get a friction fit. But you’ll need to buy a 5 dollar reducer coupling 2” to 1 1/2”. Boom now you have a cordless dust eliminating beast.I used this to carve through some bath walls that were concrete and metal lathe backed behind tile.Hope this helps.

only three stars
The cover worked quite well and actually reduced the amount of dust, but only slightly, it does not adhere exactly to the substrate when cutting. It is so large and cumbersome that you cannot see the cutting surface (line), average quality, I have to look for something better available on the market.

Dust collection on a grinder?! Yup!
First off, you can tell by the way you attach it to your grinder it is designed to be used for multiple grinders. I have a DWE4011 that it is attached to and it works! When I say it works, I mean if you have it at the right angle it works. I am cleaning out mortar and using a removal attachment that removes quite a bit quickly and violently and for this I will not say it is 100% effective, but how can anything catch this much heavy stuff in mid air coming out of the back at that speed unless you have the back of the shroud (the part that catches the debris) completely enclosed and touching whatever it is you are grinding. I works exactly as it should, not 100% unless you are very careful on how you angle it when using the grinder. It also, does add some weight to the head of the grinder, keep this in mind...and even more when you have a hose attached to it. I am, after all this completely satisfied because I'm not going to as for the impossible from this...it does a great jot at reducing the mess... but if you are very careful, it will leave you with almost no mess to pick up except for what is in your shop vac!

FANTASTIC
All right. No, I didn't get one for free...No, I don't work for the company...No, I don't own stock in this...but I should. If you use a grinder for just about anything...BUY THIS.I use this on my Rigid 4.5" grinder for channeling concrete, plasterboard, etc. The shroud has a guide in the front and the vacuum attachment works with any shop vac. When we tried it the first time, we were shocked. There was minimal dust and we were grinding out 1/2" plaster over the wood lathe. The shroud worked like a charm!Things to remember/tips...You really have to be careful when attaching it to the grinder. Pick the right base adapter.Make SURE that your blade is not touching the shroud before you use it!You CAN use flat grinding blades, but the dimple ones are easier. Thanks for reading.

Clamping ring welded in wrong spot
This thing looked like it was gonna have great value and be a quality tool!! But it looks like production may be a bit too rapid. The clamping ring nuts were set in a positing that the grinder handle could not sit above the cutting plane. You can see in the picture I took, that the one I received was not oriented to the one in the insurrection’s. Return was very easy tho.
