Beautiful collection of essays
Such an amazing collection of essays that explore all the different facets of love, from my favorite New York Times Sunday column, Modern Love. The writing is wonderful, and the vignettes are so heartfelt and relatable. Some I remembered. Some were new to me. But all are gems about a cherished moment in time, filled with warmth, humor, insight, sadness, disappointment, and heartbreak, but most of all, honesty.

Slices of Life
Everyone’s story was different, but equally special and all very precious. The only thing I felt sad about reading this collection was that it had to end.

It is always refreshing to see a different love.
I like this book, these true stories. It is like a peek into another one’s love. It is always refreshing to see a different kind of love. Sometimes it gives me courage to write my love story better.

Love in all it’s multifaceted forms
Brutally honest with laughable moments interspersed. A relatable journey of the heart. Many of the short stories brought me to tears, which is saying a lot, for someone who is not a cryer in general. Appreciated those moments to reflect on my own convoluted journeys of love (familial, friendships, romantic) and reminded me to enjoy all those often heartbreaking moments. Because the sum of all of these moments show us our humanity, imperfect creatures that we are.

Best book of essays I've ever read
I was blown away at some of the essays in this book. The emotion in them pulled me in. I bought the book because I wanted to write my own essay for the NYT Modern Love column. I've purchased other books on the best essays but this one is superior in my opinion. I hope they write or edit another one.

I've read most of the columns included in this book and gave as a gift for someone who I think will find it useful and entertaining.

As good as the show on Amazon Prime.
The authors are magicians with words. They help you to feel things and revel in the idea of love. I hope that there is a sequel.
