Wire gauges used are just adequate - harness overall is good
I needed a replacement harness for the ULTRA cheap wire harness provided with our new Pioneer DEH-S7200BHS CD/AM/FM car receiver. The Pioneer supplied harness wires, for speakers at least, were rediculously small 22 gauge single strand copper wire, and the company I bought it from didn't know where I could get a harness with larger size wires, which is what prompted me to search for one. One question in the Q&A section was what wire gauge does this Red Wolf harness have. This was answered by another person, apparently not affiliated with Red Wolf, answered this question, saying 16 gauge. Somewhat, but not entirely based on this, I decided to buy this and hope for the best. Turns out the person answering that question didn't know what they were talking about as the wires are 18 gauge, (hence my 4-star rating) which is far larger than supplied by Pioneer, so I kept the harness and used in to install the new Pioneer receiver. I didn't see or preceive of any lack of quality in the wires or just as importantly, the plastic for the harness connector, so that 's a plus, and when I got all the wires spliced into the other harness for the vehicle side, the connector engaged properly and latched to the mating connector well. So, overall, thumbs up - this harness has all the wires needed and were plugged into the correct pin locations to enable me to get this Pioneer receiver installed without much fanfare and so far, everything on the receiver works.

Not correctly pinned
This was such a disappointment. This harness looked great when I pulled it from the package. I was impressed that the wire gauge looked thicker than the stock Pioneer harness.Once I compared them, I realized that the harness is incorrectly pinned. The blue n white wire is placed where the backup camera reverse wire should be. The slot right beside that slot is where the blue remote wire would normally be, but this harness is not pinned to have a remote wire. So, if you’re planning to connect an amp or accessory, your outta luck.Whats even more odd, is they give you a green wire that has a pin on the end but was never set into the harness. This would be for your parking brake or bypass. When I tried to put it in the slot where it’s supposed to go, there is not catch in the slot to hold the pin in place.By now, I’m frustrated to say the least. LSuch a shame because this harness looked like it had a lot of potential.

Perfect Fit, But...
Replaced the stock harness with a broken tab on my Pioneer AVN-2500NEX.It was missing a wire, which I pulled from the stock one, and the colors don’t all line up. I made it work. The most important part is the plastic clip fitment, right? Right.
