150 Best Eco House Ideas Hardcover – February 8, 2011

Very beautiful and informative. It is sagreat book for those who like innovative ideas in house building. The photography is informative and artistic. It does try to cover a lot of ground by showing both large and small houses. The projects are all full of good ideas.

This book has many great images in a relatively compact size. The floor plans are easily understood even by a novice like me. I wish there had been just a littl emore background on materials and the architects but it was not meant to be a technical guide. Anyway, it is a superb choice for those looking for ideas who wanna show their architect/contractors.

If you are like me and can feel the serenity and health of an environment just by viewing it, then you, love this book. Great info and inspiration to live with natural materials and design that enhances peace and energy flow. This book has motivated me to not just dream, but move in!

I've purchased other books in this series and have been happy with the variety of homes shown. However, this book was disappointing in that the same design details were shown more than enough. Homes with wooden slat walls or dividers were constantly repeated throughout the book. Not much was said for the write ups on green-friendly building materials. The last section included random furnishings that had nothing to really contribute to the theme of the book.

If you buy only 1 book about tiny houses buy this one. I bought several and this is by far the best one. Best photos, best floor plans. Just a really great layout and design of the book.

I purchased this book as a gift for my folks as they are currently in the process of designing their house. They've taken a couple ideas from this book and its helping move the process along by providing many different examples and layouts of what they would want but don't know how to go about implementing them.

Nice book, nice presentation, but lack of more information about the houses... it's too superficial and personally from the tittle I was expecting more information about the construction.

I'm really sorry, but I have to say that while I understand the concept behind this book, it falls well short of the mark from my point of view. The photography is of acceptable quality, but really for the amount of detail shown in them, they're really too small. This may be the fault of the publisher, not the author, because the physical size is really to small to display the photographs properly. There is a real lack of detailed text about each house, and the illustrations also suffer the same fate as the photographs- they're too small, and I would have appreciated much more detail in them. Personally I would have preferred a "50" or "75 Best Eco House Ideas" in a larger form factor with much more detail about each house, than what this is- an undersized, detail-lacking coffee table book.
