The best smart bulb
I have these Philips smart bulbs all around the house and purchased this to replace the very first one I bought years ago which worked excellently right up to the end. The daylight white lights a room brilliantly and the colours are exceptional. I love that you can dim and control the lights via amazon alexa and what I thought was exceptionally excellent is that I received an email from amazon with setup instructions which includes helpdesk assistance if you need it. In my opinion Philips are the best smart bulbs to use with alexa, I've tried other brands and have on both occasions replaced them with Philips bulbs.

Brilliant bulbs billion colours
Great bulbs. You don't need the bridge to use the blue tooth. But having had these for a year and then getting the bridge so I could add light switches - the bridge is a game changer. Much more responsive. Can make separate rooms. You need to use the hue app not the hue Bluetooth app.If you don't have a bridge and they stop responding go into blue tooth and unpair from your device and the add. We had to do this but it was not in any Phillips manual to explain why lights were not responding. Not had these issues since bridge.Recommend getting these lights wonderful dimming. Transform your space. Multiple packs are good value and mix with the white ones because let's be honest how often do you need pink and green lights?

Good bulbs
You get what you pay for, these have served me well & still going strong after many months. There are cheaper brands out there, not sure if that’s a good thing or not. These I use with a set up I have with my echo dot which has the hub built in already, so no need for any other plugs etc. Blue tooth bulbs, numerous colours & no hassle. Am pleased I spent the extra few pounds to go with Phillips.

Great range of light and colours - limited features without the Bridge
For a £40 light bulb one would expect nothing less than a quality product that delivers its promises. Which this Hue bulb does. However, a few gripes I have with the product, or perhaps with the Hue ecosystem in general, relate to its strict requirements for Bluetooth use. You cannot control these Bluetooth lights with anything other than an Android or iPhone device, or your smart speaker (Echo, Google Home etc.). This means if one wished to control this from their computer, they'll be sorely disappointed. You also will not be able to sync up the lights with music, control them with IFTTT (if this then that), or do anything much other than control the basic features via the single Hue Bluetooth app (which does its job without a fuss) without the proprietary Phillips Hue Bridge which links your local network of lights together. Set-up was quick and painless, no issues. Option available for the default turn-on setting - useful for when you accidentally flick the old light switch off out of habit, and want to recover the last colour you had.Over-all it's a decent product but would benefit from being more accessible on computers, perhaps a web interface (with the Bluetooth-only option). Bridge owners will find this more featureful, however for £40 per bulb, plus £45 for a Bridge, one ought to have deep pockets for this pet lighting project.Would recommend.

Great Bulbs
After a few months of dithering I finally purchased two of these bulbs, bayonet and candle. I wish I'd got them sooner, the colours are fantastic and the functionality of the App is great with lots of preset scenes and bespoke ones you can make yourself. The night and morning routines are great too. These bulbs have transformed our living room for barely £80. Don't be put off by the slowish time for bulbs to update their software, they do it eventually and this doesn't affect the usability of the bulbs while updating.

Perfect!
Expensive bulb, but worth every penny. Installing and pairing with hue bridge and Alexa was a breeze. Would recommend to anyone.

Very good products
Well made, good brightness and colour spectrum. Perhaps just as importantly these bulbs work with all the major smart home hubs and voice assistants so automating lighting is a breeze. The only real downside is the price which isn't so bad if you wait until prime day or black friday.
