Like Lightning From the Blacksun!
Very nice little package and arrived at the lightning speed of Rudra! I've been purchasing all the English translated Tantras I can. I often think they'll one day be difficult to obtain and/or just too expensive and the time to Know is Now!!!This one is a nice little hardcover book the cover art most intimidating as the destruction of false perceptions can be as well! Skimming through it shows me it will be a very nice Tantra assisting in the rending of the veil! Once I read it I will leave a more indepth commentary.

Review
This book is not for a light reader or anyone that do not have deep knowledge of tantram especially relating to Krodha Bhairava. I was fascinated and had heard about this book from a fellow Nath yogi from Ukraine. I am glad to have got a copy and am happily reading and rereading the sacred knowledge that has been written in English for those who do not understand Sanskrit. Its a book worth having, no doubt.Anjou Durga Giri

Interesting Translation of an Esoteric Tantra
This is a new translation of a unique tantra. This is a tantra of the Shivaist sect of Sri Swacchanda Bhairava, and concerns many diverse topics. This is a very esoteric tantra, and the translator has done a very good job conveying the import of this obscure tantra. The avowed goal of the tantra is to provide the mechanism by which the adherent may break free from the chain of re-birth and achieve liberation. To provide this framework and achieve this goal, the tantra explains the many tools which may be used, such as discussing how to construct a mandala, procedures to initiation rites, mudras, and other topics. Not surprisingly, the precise mechanism to achieve liberation is not stated. Only the tools are provided. I suspect that the cycle of rebirth is broken by achieving the numerous “accomplishments” described in this tantra. An “accomplishment” is the desire to obtain a goal, spiritual or material, or divine quality to hasten the end the cycle of re-birth. An extensive portion of this tantra is to provide mudras and mantras to be uttered, what the translator calls “exorcisms” to achieve this accomplishment. The tantra reads like a how-to manual to achieve the various accomplishments, by listing and describing the mudras, rituals and mantras to be used for each accomplishment. The tantra’s treatment of mudras and mantras is very extensive. The Sanskrit and Roman transliteration of the text of these mantras are provided, but no English translation. On reflection, this is no drawback. To be effectual, the precise meaning of a mantra must be understood by the adherent. That meaning would necessarily be lost, no matter how faithful the translation. Providing a translation of the mantras of this tantra, therefore, would be a meaningless act.In all, this is an interested read on this interesting, deeply mystical, tantra.
