Good value but faster screws should not use Philips since threaded holes are painted
The product comes well-packaged with clear instructions and each different type of fastener conveniently placed in separate clearly labeled baggies. The horizontal bars each attach with a pair of M5 (horizontal) and a pair of M4 (vertical) screws at each junction. As others have noted, the threaded holes have paint in them and the soft steel of the screws can have a difficult time cutting through. Unfortunately, I didn't have an M5 tap available and thought it would be okay as long as I was careful. That was true for 7 of the 8 M5s and all 8 of the M4s but despite being forewarned, I still managed to mess up one M5. Grr...This wouldn't be a problem if they supplied hex, Allen, or Robertson screws but Philips screws really are the worst choice (well, after a slot screw I suppose). At least the extra soft steel used for the screws means that the screw is damaged instead of the threaded hole - that would have been really annoying. The spring-loaded hinge pins look rather thin for the application and it is a bit difficult to fully engage them. Generally, I can get one into the lock position easily enough but the second requires much more effort. I thought that this must mean that the receiving brass inserts were cocked but I was careful to seat them completely using a c-clamp and a block of wood.I haven't installed my equipment yet and will update this review when I do. So far, I'm happy with the purchase but wish the manufacturer would provide more appropriate screws.

Great rack overall
This rack is sturdy and easy to put together. I had a few issues however. First is the swing arm mounting pins. The brass pieces you place into the rack need to be hammered in to sit properly, however, after doing so, I found the spring loaded anchors can only fit and lock on 1 side easily. What I mean is, once you have 1 size locked in, the other side will not go in enough to where you can lock the spring loaded anchors. I managed to push really hard on the bottom, it eventually went in. However the top goes half way and stops. If I release the opposite side, then this anchor goes right in on it's own. I've tried moving the entire rack after building it to see if it was an alignment issue but nothing changed. I mounted it anyway. I doubt I'll be swinging it open much so it's not a big deal but the convenience is there. The second issue and a glaring one at that is the rear of the rack itself. The parts that press against the wall eat into the space meant for hardware. I purchased a Rosewill PC case, a 4U 9 Bay 3 fan case. Amazon lists it as 17.8" deep. Well, I had to flip the rack ears on the case because the back of the case ran into the rack itself. After doing so it will likely mount. (Waiting on right angle power cable)

NavePoint 15U Wall Mount
The Navdepoint 15u wall mount rack is exactly what I was looking for.It assembles quickly and once anchored into wall studs is quite sturdy.Your equipment will mount to a well constructed box which is held in the frame by four 3/8 inch pins. The nice feature of this rack is two of those pins can be retracted which allows you to open the unit like a door and service the back. Be aware, that you will need to leave a space at the top and the bottom in order to access these pins. The downside is it's over 17 inches wide at the back, which means it will not line up with 16" on center studs. In my case I made a frame out of 2 x 4s . I then anchored the 2 x 4 frame to the 15u and screw the frame into the wall studs. I don't recommend using Molly bolts to hold this unit up.Also be aware that the weight limit is 100 pounds and when the unit is swung open for servicing, it will only hold 50 pounds. I pretty much maxed out the weight on the 15u and I would say that those tolerances should not be exceeded. The most annoying part is there are two bushings that are on the bottom that the pins sit in. They are not really well anchored and use gravity to keep them in place and can fall out during assembly if you're not careful. I eventually ended up taping them into place so they wouldn't fall out when I was opening and closing the panel during installation. If I were doing this again I would probably purchase multiple NavePoint smaller units because of the weight issue. I like their system and if you're not going to be on the road it beats putting things in rack boxes.

It's not 18" deep
I bought a 17.5" server case to fit into this rack, which is advertised to be 18" deep. There are rails on both ends that obstruct the depth. It's actually about 16.75" deep maximum.

Swing Gate Useful but...
Arrived promptly (thanks, Amazon) and went together easily. I was surprised that a standard shelf hits against the side of the rack (the swing gate is like a picture frame attached to the front of a solid rack). Either one side or the other of the front of the rack needs to have the vertical support removed or modified in order to avoid hitting it with the rack mounted equipment as the gate swings. I should have realized this from the views but didn't consider its operation carefully enough. I'll probably modify the vertical support on one side to allow it to be used as described and desired.***Updated after email exchanges with supplier. First, kudos for such a rapid reply (hours) to my support request. Updated to four stars. Vendor suggested ok ro remove vertical brace from one side. I may still relocate it rather than remove it.Much happier with the product utility now.
