Economical Bicycling Helmet with MIPS and CPSC Certification
Seems like a great choice for a bicycling helmet that can get away with being worn on a road bike, mountain bike or fitness/recreational bike. The helmet strap is fixed in the helmet (won't shift) but it has enough adjustment points without being too complicated. The ratcheting part that goes the circumference of the head has minute adjustment so it's not too tight or too loose. The helmet is comfortable wearing around the house. This isn't a fancy helmet and the price reflects it. I paid $30 after tax in July 2022. So don't expect a high quality looking shell.Bell is a reputable, long standing brand of safety helmet. I trust Bell 10x more than any unknown foreign brand helmet. It's great this helmet is also designed and assembled in the USA. For me, some craftsmanship in the USA is far better than the alternative when it comes to safety products. I truly wish that the USA would go back to wanting name brand products instead of these janky "private label" made overseas products but that's a gripe that doesn't fully apply here.If you need a helmet that meets MIPS and CPSC certification for competing in a triathlon, this seems like a great helmet to meet your needs if cost is of concern.I have not yet worn this helmet on the bike, I just received it yesterday. So I can't say how comfortable it is while riding, but it seems like it'll be great. I tried putting on my cycling glasses with the rear view mirror clipped on the rim and there wasn't any interference like my previous Schwinn helmet.I also can't say how well it functions in a crash, and I hope I can never weigh in on that, either. But, I feel comfortable with this helmet at this price point due to the reputable brand that manufacturers it.Good luck and happy pedaling!

My Bell helmet saved my life!
You only know how good a helmet is once you have an accident. Which I did, bounced my helmet on a concrete street, broke 7 ribs and punctured a lung. When the ambulance arrived they said my helmet could have saved my life and showed the 2 places in my helpmate that cracked upon impact. I had to order a new bell helmet, but my old one did it’s job.

Somewhat disappointed
The fit was perfect, and I was happy it had MIPS at the $35 price point. However, it arrived with a manufacturing defect. The visor was too short on one side so the hook at the end would not sit within the ventilation opening, and was left sticking out freely to the side. The materials were fairly good quality and it felt like other good Bell helmets I have owned. However, I was disappointed with the thin plastic skin covering the shell as it was glued on in a very few places and will likely tear off just by brushing against objects when carrying it around. I see others have commented on this too. In 2021 even helmets costing half as much as this one use more modern techniques to fuse the coating onto the shell. Apparently, Bell actually developed the technique so I was surprised it wasn’t used in this helmet. The fit was so good, I have been looking for other Bell helmets but there aren’t many in the 57 mm range. I do not personally like the idea of a huge shell with a universal fit tightening knob for those at the lower end of the size range. Will keep looking.

This helmet saved my life
On February 14th of this year I received this helmet from Amazon I went for a bike ride having just received the helmet and was in a hit and run this helmet lived up to its billing and saved my life if it were not for this helmet I don't think I would be making this post this helmet did everything that it was supposed to do I literally had just received that helmet an hour earlier before I was in the hit and run thank you Bell helmets for making a helmet so safe for the price I highly recommend this helmet to anybody and remember that it's important to wear it the way it's supposed to be worn

Great looking easy to adjust to head size.
Exactly as described. Head size adjuster perfect for getting the right fit. Highly recommended.

Comfortable helmet.
Does it protect the head well? I’ll let you know when I run into a tree or fall off my bike and onto my head.

Better than nothing, but didn't last.
Value is important to us since kids grow so fast. However, this helmet only lasted one season before the plastic started separating from the foam. The design is questionable... Was that tab at the front supposed to be glued in? Or use tension? I can't fix it and the plastic piece hangs down when my child wears it. I'm not sure if the function is compromised but we will replace it just in case.I will spend an extra few dollars this time to get a higher quality helmet in hopes that it will last 3 or so seasons until my kids outgrow it.
