A good sturdy set of headphones for TV
I received my new headphones, a good weight feels and looks well made, good material s used, well packaged and instructions very easy to follow, a little worried that they wouldn't connect to my older TV, (new TV) waiting on the sidelines, but not a problem, plug everything in and press button s and all done, charging was not a problem and the difference between the new and old was quite wide sound quality very good, easy of use very good, and able to change settings for films or drama perfect, the one problem I have always has been charging after use BUT it is very quick, and straight forward, you get a good long use before you need to charge again, they fit for me very comfortable, no rubbing or falling off if you look down or pick something up from the floor, a good distance of use, not fully tested yet but will get around to that, so I recommend, I Have ONE little niggle the volume could be set a little higher for my music, I know can damage your earing and there has to be a cut off number, this is the only downside for me, so far they have beaten my other three sets in quality and use a good set so far.

Exceptionally good Headphones
I must say straight away that I am not an expert or aficionado on hi-fi sound and know very little about the technical terminology used to describe the quality of sound. Some expert reviews I have read seem to be describing a fine wine, using fancy terminology that can only be understood by their peers. Sadly, I just know what sounds good to my own ears.My requirements were simple. I wanted to be able to listen to TV/DVD at a sound level that I could enjoy without disturbing either me wife or the neighbours.I have previously owned a pair of Sennheiser RS 180 headphones and they sounded really good, but we parted company as I was only able to connect them to my tv via the headphone socket. This meant that the tv speakers were muted and nobody could hear the tv except me. As a consequence I rarely used the headphones.Having read lots of reviews I initially plumped for a very expensive pair of Sony headphones. Unfortunately these were very disappointing and didn't live up to their hype. Possibly due to me only having a stereo signal? I returned them and ordered the Sennheiser RS 175 headphones. These were very well packaged and I soon had them connected to the tv. I didn't use the cables supplied as I had read in previous reviews that the quality was questionable. I can't say if this is true, except I must say that they did seem flimsy. I attached a spare branded optical lead that I had to the tv and a branded audio lead to my iPhone to test the Analog output.I tried the iPhone first and played a couple of Adele singles, very impressive, very clear and given that the signal was coming from my iPhone the volume was much louder than I had expected and far greater and better than the Sony phones that I had returned.I then tried the optical output from the tv. Again, this was very good. I tried the bass boost and the virtual surround sound. I found that the bass was good without the boost and that, when activated, there was a noticeable increase in the depth of bass. The surround sound didn't really impress when listening to the tv, but it did seem to improve when watching a DVD even though the signal was being sent through the tv.I watched Man of Steel (Superman) on blu ray and the combination of bass boost and surround sound certainly made a significant difference to the quality of sound. Background noises that were previously not heard suddenly appeared and explosions sometimes caught me off guard and actually made me jump!Although made of plastic, the quality of the headphones is very very good and not the least bit flimsy. The headphones did generate a bit of heat around the ears, but this seemed to dissipate after a while to the point where I didn't notice it. As far as the 'fit', I didn't find them to be too tight around the head and think that when the newness wears of, they should be very comfortable. I didn't have any problems using the controls on the right earpiece and actually think that the ease of use is one of the significant improvements/features that Sennheiser have come up with. When I first used the headphones, I didn't fit the rechargeable batteries provided as the first time that you charge them, the phones should be left on their stand uninterrupted for 16 hours. As I wanted to give them a good test before charging them, I inserted two AAA batteries whilst testing the equipment, then swapped them for the rechargeable ones when I had finished.Overall, I have no reservations about buying these headphones. Unlike my experience of some manufacturers, they actually do what they are supposed to do and do it exceptionally well.

VERY GOOD CANS FOR TV, FILMS AND GAMES FANS , LESS SO FOR HI-FI FANS
Firstly, I already have a pair of Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless Bluetooth Cans which can be truly awesome sounding beasts for playing music from the Hi-Fi at home or anywhere else. However, I found that using these B & W’s, the range of the Bluetooth signal before sound cut-outs / drop offs occur, in my house at least, is abysmally short: sometimes shorter than 3.5 metres which is very annoying.I therefore decided to try some RF Wireless Cans which manufacturer’s claim have a clearway range of up to 100 metres, so I purchased a pair of these Sennheiser RS175’s based on that claim and the very favourable reviews they got here on Amazon and other websites. Unfortunately, with these Sennheisers, the sound cut-outs / drop offs are STILL happening in the same rooms of the house where the signal has too many obstacles/walls to contend with, although there is an improvement over Bluetooth. If I’m wearing these Cans say 3 metres from the Transmitter, I have to keep my head in one direction to hear sound in some rooms or the garden. As for the sound quality, they are not too bad but are clearly made for people who watch TV, movies and play games rather than for serious Hi Fi music fans. The pseudo surround sound and bass boost features can make for exciting noises for your ears from any form of recorded sound. These Headphones are very comfortable to wear. Overall, if you want a good sounding pair of wireless Headphones for multi media generally, these may well meet your needs.!!!
