Everyone should have one of these
This thing is awesome. I threw it in this evening in about an hour & now I'll never have to solder pickups into my guitar again, I can just screw them in. The sound is great & sounds like any other solid soldered connection. If you don't know how to solder you could always have a tech throw this in for you & then you could swap pickups on your own from then out. It's super easy to use. For everyone saying the instructions aren't clear, all you have to do is know a little bit about how a volume potentiometer is wired & you can figure it out by the instructions. It isn't confusing but you might have to think a bit.

Great upgrade to any axe.
The smooth action of the volume control is worth the upgrade alone. The Seymour Duncan website has just about every single wire diagram you can imagine. You only have to solder once to install, but afterwards all you do is use a provided screw driver to swap out your pick ups. I recommend using tweezers to help install these wires, you'll thank me later.

Don't buy if your left handed
The idea is great, the problem for me was I'm left handed and this can only be wired in a right hand configuration. After installed my volume know rolled the opposite direction as my tone knob. I suppose I should have done more research before buying but, it should be able to wire for both right handed and left handed guitars.

Great Product But
Great product and works fantastically but...1) please check your guitar cavity first before purchasing. If not it'll be a total waste of time. Mine barely fits. Also you might need to enlarge to hole of your volume pot to fit the liberator2) no instruction whatsoever from SD on how to use it exactly. Even if you write to them they won't be able to help you and they will refer you to their public forum for help. I got my help there and luckily there guys who are kind enough to lend you a helping hand.

Slightly confusing to hook up at first, because you have to try to follow the instruction diagrams and also try to solder the wires on the liberator to your switchOnce you've done that though, installing pickups and the rest of the electronics on the guitar is very easy

Brlliant concept... But... MANY buts to install it...
The whole idea of changing your guitar pickups with just a screwdriver, without soldering sounds amazing for those like me who do not know how to solder BUT... It has to be soldered replacing your volume pot and that implies MANY aspects to consider before buying it (which by the way I was not aware at all and my money went down the drain); especially that it only works with 3-way selector switches (Mine was a Ibanez 5-way for instance), the space on the guitar was tight, the hole for the volume pot was too small for the liberator to fit in, and IT HAS TO BE SOLDERED! So if you plan on buying this pray for an eclipse in order to install it on your guitar, mine just did not work...

Hit or miss product :(
Good luck fitting this in your guitar. Mine's nothing fancy. An electric guitar that takes a 500K pot. Pretty simple and basic. but this thing is huge! Seems by reviews I've read on all different websites it fits in about a little over half of people's guitars. All I can say is good luck!
