Works great with a Soft top Wrangler JK...
I searched for a long time to find a rack/shelf for my 2011 Wrangler JK 2-door. All the ones I liked said "not for a soft top" even when I said I didn't need to lower the top I got responses that said it still wouldn't work. As for this one, it fits fine as you can see in the pictures. There's plenty of room away from the top's brackets, so I'm sure all the others I looked at would have worked as well. Now, if you plan on lowering your soft top then, yes the side brackets will get in the way. Installation can be done alone but an extra set of hands will make this a breeze. Very simple. I did drill a couple of holes in my tub for the bolts closest to the front of Jeep. Once all bolts were tightened down, this thing didn't move. Zoom in on the measuring tape in the pics to get the dimensions. Very pleased with this purchase. Some reviewer mentioned that it was weak or flimsy. I don't get that. Certainly not for what it was designed for. You'd have to put some serious weight up high (and that's not smart) to cause any amount of sag. The advertiser said it could be returned for any reason, so I took a chance. Zero complaints. Would purchase again.

Great Product (description needs reworded)
First off the carrier is awesome very sturdy and really adds to the ability to organize the Jeep for travel. The Pros 1. Strong but light weight. ( Aluminum)2. Relatively easy to install ( will address later in the review)3. Makes organizing the rear of the Jeep very easy. The Cons 1. The description plainly states will fit a JL/JLU, to any Jeep owner that translates to 2 door/ 4 door. Well it isn't fabricated to fit a 2 door. But you can easily make it fit by drilling 1 hole and it will fit like a glove. Why they didn't go ahead and drill the hole no one knows, there are several other holes for other models. It took me a couple of minutes and it was ready to install.I would have given this 5 stars if the holes were predrilled.I feel this is a great storage carrier and having to drill a couple of holes wasn't a huge issue. There are few items for 2 doors and it wasn't a big deal to drill the holes. In summary I really like the carrier and would I recommend or purchase this product again the answer is YES I would. This carrier will make our travels easier and more organized. I would just recommend the manufacturer to change the wording in the description or better yet add a hole and truly have one of the few carriers for a 2 door JL.

Exactly as Advertised - Highly Recommend - 8th month review
Fit's perfectly in 2014 JKU. We have dogs, so this is our primary storage space for cargo, and after 8 months of heavy use, it's in as good of shape as the day I bought it. We haven't even had to tighten a bolt. It has not rattled, shifted nor needed to be adjusted,] after heavy use, both on and off road, and we are not gentle with it. It is surprisingly sturdy with a good powder coating, and bolt placement. The fasteners are out of the way and do not get caught on cargo or straps.I can only assume that the negative reviews are from frustrated installers. Which is understandable, as Installation could be a little difficult if rushed. It is a tight fit, which is what keeps it from rattling! Good, right?Just take care when tightening the bolts. Use a criss-cross or star pattern, making several passes, tightening each bolt a little more with each pass until snug and even. Using a wireless screwdriver (not a drill) in place of the supplied tools, will make things easier, as it's in a cramped space, with awkward angles. We did by a rubber mat to reduce sliding cargo and pets.

Top shelf not as pictured, No slits in sides to tie anything down, Missing bolts.
This shelf seems sturdy, and well made except for the one i recieved did not have the slits in the sides of the top shelf, which makes it difficult to tie anything down. The bolts were not packaged and also missing a few.I bought this on Black Friday sale, not such a good deal !!

Easy install! Great price!
The media could not be loaded. This product is absolutely great for the cost! There are lots of other companies that charge a lot more just because a name brand is behind it. It's very easy to install one person can do it. The trickiest part is once you get both side pieces mounted because you want to keep them a little bit loose and then to lift the tray up and bolt up the tray to the loose side pieces. I just used my long bolts in the kit to push through the holes to hold the tray up and then I came back with a small bolts once everything was in place and bolted it in. the only trick that I could pass on is when you're putting in the side and gold pieces is to come from the back door and slide it against the back window that way you don't scratch up any window tint on the window trying to get the product to fit. It's much easier to slide it from the back door into the back. There is about a dollar bill length gap between the tray in the backseat so you can still reach stuff from inside the Jeep that's under the rack. The racks it's level with the backseat so the rack itself should not interfere very much with seeing out the back window. Great fit just as advertised great price definitely will be telling other Jeepers about this product!the only thing I could see that might be needed is if you have a bunch of stuff on the rack you may need a light so you can see underneath but you can get one of those battery operated lights and stick up there very easy so you can see down below the rack.
