Q: How thick are the the backs 4.5mil or 7mil ?

Heya, thank you for the question! As indicated on the first description line, these are Genuine Mylar (ShieldPro Econ) 3.5 Mil bags. They are intended for 'short' long-term storage in the 3-7 year range. They are not as thick as some bags (intentionally), but they are not nearly as expensive either. (An equivalent 60-pack of 5 mil bags generally runs 36.99-39.99)

Q: Does the manufacturer have values for the oxygen transmission rates (otr) and moisture transmission rates (mvtr) for these bags?

Heya, thanks for the question. Approximate rates are .048 MVTR and .018 OTR. (For OTR, that equates to something around .41cc/year oxygen pass-through, which if packaged with even a single 300cc absorber, will be absorbed for many years)

Q: Are the oxygen absorbers packaged individually? I may only need to use a couple at a time and don't want to expose all to the air at once.

Heya, thanks for the question. The absorbers are currently being shipped in 3 packages of 20. Currently, no one manufactures oxygen absorbers in this size individually packaged, as the cost would be exorbitant. If you order via Fulfilled By Merchant (NOT FBA, which is for product already in an Amazon warehouse that can't be changed) and write me a note with your order #, I can ship you a package with 6 sets of 10 absorbers (sets of 10 is the smallest I've seen in this size absorber) instead of 3 sets of 20. I recommend storing excess absorbers in a small mason jar with ring and seal lid, resealing them in their original package, or heat sealing them in a Mylar bag, to keep them fresh. Thanks!

Q: How long will rice and beans store for in these bags?

If the bag in a container such as a 5 gallon food grade bucket with a lid, probably 20-30 years.
