Waste of money! Does not hike hair in place. Small purple rings does not work to keep hair on the rods so hair constantly falls off the rod and does not curl.

I'm missing about a quarter of the clips, so if I can't clip it into my hair, it may as well have only been 65 rods instead of 84. The package itself was open when I got it, so perhaps they fell out, or maybe were previously purchased and returned. I like the way it looks, it works easy, but imagine my disappointment when I get nearly done and can't finish because of the lack of pieces. At this point, I'm most likely returning. Really bummed about it.Also, I find that the clips are strong enough for me, however I am white and my hair is not as thick and luscious as other reviewers may have. However, the clips (and spiral rods) can become tangled if you don't make sure they're protected while setting. Try a satin cap, or maybe don't lay down like I did.

These were what I expected from the pics. I found the frontal section easy to do myself using a mirror. But I would definitely recommend having help for the back. You must twist your hair section at the scalp and best results come from twisting it all the way and looping it around the spiral rods. I used them for a perm and they became slippery and were sliding out . I’d like to see some other “clamp” or what have you to hold them in place because the small ones that are included are not sufficient until you try to remove them purposely and then good luck! Ugh! But, I still say buy them. They are good for the price and can be used for general styling. Just have a set of hands for the back of your head, otherwise tangles will be excessive! Be innovative I used small black rubber bands on the ends. I would have used clips to hold the rods in place but the perm said it should not contact any metal surfaces. I got my curls tho!

I never write reviews unless I feel very strongly about a product and I HATE THESE. They are hard to work with, they are uncomfortable to wear, the curls look terrible etc. absolutely a waste of money

They were thinner than pencils. I expect them to be at least as wide as my finger. I would like them to be much thicker but I don’t know if that’s an option. I haven’t had time to look. I found another use for them but not for hair.
