Bought this for my leopard geckos. Super big bag that will last awhile. Works great for my Leo’s and cleaning is easy. Definitely worth the money.

Not only does this seller have excellent customer service (responds promptly and fixes any issues immediately) but this stuff is practically magical. It holds burrows, keeps the lower layers damp and the top layer dry, it's super easy to clean up feces without taking all the substrate with it, my two boys (5 and 7 month old bearded dragons, Beam and Drogon) absolutely love it. It almost seems to absorb feces smell, their tanks smell so clean because of this substrate. I cannot recommend Terra Sahara or the Biodude highly enough, I'd need ten stars. The substrate is even pretty to look at!

I tried mixing my own substrate based on a bit of studying online and just felt the ratios were still off. Not only that, I'm now stuck with a rather large chin of peat moss that I'm not sure what to do with and a mixing tote that I have taking up space we're already short of. This was recommended, and I'm so grateful I took the advice. The plants, clean-up crew, and best of all, the dragon all seem to love this stuff!

I will not be mixing my own anymore I will leave it to the professional Biodude. This was so fluffy and clean and perfection I already know I made a great choice I’ve been doing Bioactive for years but these dryer arid I was just not comfortable with ,substrate is huge !

Highly recommend The Biodude for critter needs. I started out buying bioactive soil for my tarantulas and then now for my beardie, geckos, and snake. Top notch products.

Got this substrate for my leopard geckos- they are each in 20 gallon terrariums until I can size up to 40. They've unfortunately had carpet all their life up until getting this substrate. This substrate is super easy to switch out and clean and they LOVE IT! One of my girls even started digging as soon as I put her on it! They love to scratch and scrabble in it and it seems to be comfy for laying down on as well! Way less maintenance than other substrates since you only need to change it every 3 or 4 months. Fantastic, will buy again!

I bought this for a substrate in my bioactive kenyan sand boa enclosure. Looks great, and is decent enough quality except for these heavy little rocks that are all throughout the bag. Definitely changes the amount of actual substrate I get. Can’t say I’m not disappointed, with how expensive it is anyway. Paid a lot of money for several pounds of rocks, was hoping i could trust TheBioDude to not scam.
