Amazon Basics Spray Mop, Blue&White

We previously had a steam mop, which did a great job but was quite heavy so when it broke I thought I'd give a spray mop a try. This is good value for money, much cheaper than the Flash type and I like being able to fill the bottle with whatever I like.I have tried Method cleaner which smells divine but goes down quickly, and am now using Ecover concentrated cleaner which lasts for ages as you only mix a tiny bit with water. I may also try some vinegar, water and essential oil concoction at some point.The mop bottle is a good size so you don't need to refill it too often and it is so quick to grab the mop to sort out the odd spill or muddy pawprint. No filling buckets or emptying dirty water out and it doesn't take up much space. The head is very swivelly and quite narrow so it gets behind the toilet easily.The cloths stick on easily and you can just pull them off and chuck them in the laundry basket or washing machine. I bought a pack of spares so that I can change the cloth frequently, which helps to avoid smeary floors. You might still need to get down on the floor and use some elbow grease to tackle any dried on old stains, but overall I'm very happy with it.

i live in a house with five cats, a teenage brother, and a couple other people who don’t know how to take their bloody shoes off or eat in the dining room so as you can imagine I’m constantly mopping up spills and whatnot, and it’s a nightmare lugging round the old mop and bucket. So when I saw this I was like “you know what, it’s cheap enough I may aswell try it.” I’m so glad I did! It’s easy to assemble, so easy that you don’t need instructions at all. It’s easy to use and takes much less time to properly clean your floors with and bonus, your not wasting as much water as you would with the classic mop and bucket! I love it, it’s made things much easier for me! I would recommend buying an extra cloth or two so you can always have one handy whilst the others are being washed.

Having owned a couple of steam floor cleaners I have decided that they are not for me. They are always heavy in the mop head and can become difficult to control.So I have been looking for a low tech alternative for a while and decided to give this one a go.Out of the box you’ll have three parts to slot and lock together, a bottle for the cleaning solution and a microfibre pad. The assembly is straight forward and once assembled it feels solid enough. You just need to put your favourite cleaner in the bottle and slot it in to the mop. I used hot water from the tap when mixing the cleaning solution. The bottle itself holds enough solution to do quite a large area. I managed to mop the ground floor of a three bedroom house and the bathroom with solution to spare. As with all microfibre mops, it pays to sweep/hoover before mopping otherwise you end up with the dreaded banks of wet detritus at the extremes of your mopped surface.It’s easy to push the mop around and the head swivels allowing access to the various contours of the floor. Just spray away and mop.Once finished you can disengage the bottle and discard any unused solution. I found that taking the bottle out causes the cleaning solution to trickle from the bottle in to the mop head. So if like me you like to store the mop in a cupboard you may find that the accumulated solution drips out and causes a mess.For this reason I am awarding four stars, a real shame as I would have awarded the maximum.Happy shopping.

I've never written a review in my life, but I find them invaluable, I'm so thrilled with this spray mop in everyway, I can't fault it, so I thought I'd do my first ever review because of it.It's so light and easy to use, the swivel head gets into all the small places and makes it easy to store, the bottle is easy to get out and put back once filled, definitely NO leakage, the spray nozzle is in the right position and doesn't over wet the floor. It's a real pleasure to use as it just glides along my vinyl floors. Weldone Amazon.

I know how sad it sounds but this mop is amazing! A total game changer!I always hated moping as it's such a pain: filling the bucket, carrying it around, your floor is soaked for what feels like hours and then emptying and cleaning it out! Such a nause! But this is fab: you put a clean cloth on the bottom and when something is spilled you just grab it, give a little squirt and wipe it away.As I clean my house every day I am not exaggerating to say it has saved HOURS of time, just squirt the floor, wipe (or scrub depending) and then throw the cloth on the washing machine and you're done! Seriously, can't rate it enough!Also the floor dries in literally minutes even without windows or doors open so no worries if you have little ones about.If you clean every day or have a lot of spills i would advise you buy more cloths as 3 is not enough for me but if not then it should be fine.I have used mine every day for 4 months and it's still good as new, highly recommend!

For how much it is you should get more pads the pad goes very stiff after a few uses. The spray is jammed

Until the bottle broke the top has broken off so I suppose I will have to buy a new one

Second of this mop I've had in the past year and unfortunately both have broken in a similar way. Disappointing as it's a pretty good product otherwise

Antes de decidirme por esta mopa, estuve un largo rato mirando en amazon y ninguna me terminaba de convencer por sus reseñas y además parecían bastante grandotas con colores feos...necesitaba una que sea mas minimalista y facil de guardar ya que no tengo espacio para escobas en el apartamento.La verdad no le tenía mucha fe, pero me sorprendió. No solo me sorprendió la calidad y lo facil que es de ensamblar, sino más aún lo bien que deja el suelo de madera y lo divertido que es usarla. Si, será que esto es tener 30 años, pero me emociona una mopa. El trapo se saca y pone fácilmente para poder enjuagarlo y el spray es super util para ir humedeciendo sin llenar de agua el piso.No se cuánto tiempo durará en buen estado, pero si sé que aunque se me rompa en los próximos meses, seguramente vuelva a comprar otra porque me parece super práctica.Antes pasaba la mopa con la aspiradora robot pero luego de que se rompió el deposito de agua decidí probar con una mopa de este estilo y no me arrepiento!
