I rarely ever write reviews for anything cause i just don't have the time, but iKTCH's product support has impressed me so much that I've got to add my two cents here. I bought this range hood a little over 2 years ago and installed it myself above a new 36" 5-burner gas range while remodeling my kitchen. The kitchen originally had a down-draft vent that didn't work well so I custom built the walnut hood cover to fit this new range vent. Since I didn't have an existing hood, I can't say how easily this unit would fit/swap if you do have an existing hood, but it was easy enough to install as new. We cook on the gas range almost every day and it never has a problem quickly venting even the strongest cooking odors like frying fish or searing steak. Its easy to clean, powerful, adjustable, and the remote and motion controls work great. It has worked great for the last 2 years! Until last weekend....when it wouldn't turn on, and this is the most important part of my review. Any company can build a product that works great, but how a company supports their product when you have an issue is what builds their reputation and earns my repeat business. I immediately emailed the seller via the link in my Amazon order history and described the problem. Because they're based in China, the email I sent to iKTCH support was received at 3am Chinese time. Not even (7) hours later, I received a response asking a question about the symptoms and offering to ship me a replacement part at no cost. I replied and provided my address, they shipped the part, and since they keep stock at an Amazon warehouse close to me, I received it the next day. I installed the part the next day, which took a screw driver and about 15 minutes, but unfortunately it didn't fix the issue. I replied and let them know, and they immediately shipped another part for free that I received the next day. Now everything is working great again! Through the whole process, I was corresponding on one email thread with the same person, Mary, who was very courteous and responsive. If you've ever had to deal with another company that requires you to call in, sit on hold, "create a service ticket", and do that all over again with a new person to explain everything to them over and over, it really makes you appreciate how fast and easy it is to correspond with iKTCH support. Let alone the fact that despite being out of the stated warranty period, they quickly sent me parts at no cost. I've spent more money on on products from well-known brands and have not nearly received this level of commitment from them to support their products. Simply because they stand behind their products when an issue arises, I would highly recommend iKTCH to anyone.

We're using our new IKTCH 36" Range hood in ductless mode and we love it. First it is gorgeous and has upgraded the look our kitchen thanks to its professional design, construction and finish. It was easy to install thanks to included installation instructions, and most importantly it works great. It is quiet and powerful and does a fantastic job of removing smoke and odors. It even has a remote and "hand waving" control.In addition to a great product, IKTCH's email support is second to none. From my pre-purchase inquiries through installation and startup, I received next day DETAILED replies to all my questions - and I had several. Throughout the process I worked with Mary who was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Her assistance was always there no matter how many times I reached out.I highly recommend this product and this company.

I had higher expectations for this range hood insert. I gave it 4 stars because of all the bells and whistles it has. I love the touch free controls and the remote option. What I’m disappointed about is that the grids/filters are pretty small due to the control panel being so big. If the company could come up with a design that has bigger grids on the filters, I’ll give it 10 stars. But the price is really good, it works well. The first insert we received was dented and was not packaged from the manufacturer. It was a definite return by a customer. Someone should be checking those before sending them to the next buyer.Another issue is a small scratch that we didn’t think was significant. But it’s increasing and is getting rusty. Out fault for not wanting to deal with it after one exchange already. Just hoping it will not grow! Inspect your product carefully.

I love this exhaust fan, but disappointed the gesture sensing function doesn't work. Otherwise I would give it five stars.It's powerful and provides ample light. The fan has four speeds and gets louder as power is increased. Don't they all, though?? The remote control is a nice feature as well.Not sure how well it cleans up since it's still new.It was installed by my contractor five months after I purchased it, hence the return window closed. ( The hood was on back order). My recommendation is to order closer to installation date in case of any problems.UPDATE: It turns out the hand gesture feature does work. After reading other reviews, I contacted IKTCH customer service and Emma responded right away. She provided instructions and bingo! I was impressed by Emma's quick responses and follow up. It's refreshing to experience outstanding customer service. It's been a while.

This is awesome! It is very high quality. Not loud. Awesome design. It has a remote control and also motion activated! So nice!

I use these all the time in my business as I install cabinets. The last couple have had bad control panels,but customer service is ight on time and had replacements within a week and are simple to install. The hand sensor works fine and doesn’t require turning on the vent before. Will continue using these customers love them and great price

I truly wish I purchased a range hood with actual buttons, not a digital display. The hand gestures hardly work, even after they sent me a video on how to use it. If you don’t have your hands in very specific placement, distance, and speed, it doesn’t work. Also the buttons are just as bad. I have to teach anyone that might want to cook, how to press the buttons correctly. The worst part, is that the fan just doesn’t stay on! 3 minutes into cooking, or when a pot is boiling the highest, it will turn off. I keep trying to turn it back on while our small kitchen gets filled with steam, and it will turn back off after a few seconds. Customer service told me that it needs time to cool down, which seems like a terrible design flaw for a range hood.
