This really works!
Had a sand crane that decided my pontoon boat was his roost. Mounted this device on my light pole with the clamp. No more sand crane and the mess he left behind. Love it!

Doesn't work at all
This bird spider needs a lot of wind, strong wind to turn. I don't think it ever spun 180 all by itself. Don't bother, the birds just walked between the wires or ducked underneath them.

Keeps bird off my boat

Poor quality
this does repel sea birds and keeps my solar panels clean.HOWEVERAfter 15 months of use the plastic pin that holds the top part broke and the top part went missing into the water. This was on a boat. The threaded plastic which is part of the molded bracket is PVC plastic with no reinforcement. This design was destined to fail.I contacted customer service and was told there is no warranty. If you must buy this or own one now I suggest that you drill a hole down the center of the pin and reinforce it with a stainless steel screw. For the money they charge this should have been done by them.Edit. After a couple of emails to Bird B Gone, including the pictures posted here they have replied that they will send me a replacement. Better results than I expected.2nd edit. Received a new one from Bird B Gone. Same as the old one. I will reinforce the plastic shaft as I wrote about above. Since they stood behind their product I have raise my star rating to three.

Not perfect, but helpful
This bird spider seems to have significantly reduced the problem we have on the Bimini of our Hunter 38 sailing vessel. While not perfect, the problem was reduced after deployment. The spider does not spin well, if at all, even after viewing the manufacturer's video and ensuring the spinner 'clicked' into place. Despite this, the arms move around enough and seem to deter Cormorants and Gulls. I would recommend relative to other solutions.

They work.. I mounted each one of them onto a board and I use bungee cords to hold into place.
The Bird begone were the answer to our problem with the Seagulls that had taken up residency and were making a mess on our pontoon boat that is moored out in the lake. Our boat is large 22ft. So I used 3 bird begone and it immediately did the trick. No more bird issues on our boat.
