Great quality for price
I was unsure about bying used, but i didnt want an unbound copy, which is all my school sells (for $250). I got a roughly $90 good condition copy, it had some minor damage (dented corners, creased spine, a half loose page), and what looks like a repaired page, but its great. 10/10 would recommend.

Good stuff!
The product I received was exactly as it was described. Also, the book arrived earlier than I thought. I am happy with the product.

Great deal, good quality!
The book was listed at a better price than anything else I could easily find. Flipping through pages, I noticed there were a few pages of notes from a previous student. However, that does not bother me. I know the book was used, and in general, it is in great condition. No rips, no tears! Great buy

The Immortal Halliday and Resnick
This is the latest edition but one or two of H+R, the book I used long ago in undergrad. I rented it to prepare to adjunct-teach introductory physics. The diagrams are a LOT better (thanks, modern technology!) and the equations are slicker (thanks, Professor Knuth!) The actual content is not exactly dumbed down, but the coverage of E&M is significantly reduced in favor of more coverage of modern topics. The problems are very numerous, but tend to be quite repetitive. Maybe that's good, because you can do one in class on the board and assign the others for homework. The copy Amazon sent me was in somewhat poor condition, cover torn and partially detached, many pages cumpled. That's OK, it probably betokens a serious former owner. (Or maybe it was used as a dorm room door stop.) An original copy, it goes without saying, is beyond the budget of an adjunct.Summary: still a great introductory text, a real keeper.

Didn't work, misleading/ No funcionó, engañoso
The page made it seem as though as what I'd be buying was going to be the full text plus the Wiley PLUS companion, which is why I was so surprised to see such a deal. It wasn't. It's a summary plus the Wiley PLUS companion, which has the actual book. I'm not saying that it said it was the whole book and it turned out that it wasn't, just that the way it's marketed is misleading. But that's not the reason for my 1 star review: the actual reason is that the code it provided did not even work. I followed each step provided by Wiley PLUS (both the instructions in the book and the instructions I found online) and entered the code I was given where I was supposed to enter it, and it sent an error message. It's one star and not 0 not just because I cannot give 0, but because I at least received the package early, allowing me to find a replacement in time. Doesn't make me any less mad, though.

This book was in really good condition. I have yet to see any highlighting or notes. I like that the book includes a lot of practice problems and homework problems. It also contains "check points", which are problems after a specific topic is discussed. What check points allow you to do, is make sure you understand the topic that was just discussed. Overall, the book is pretty clear and concise.

Good textbook, but please don't buy it from Amazon
Ignore the warnings on the used/rental pages about online codes not being present in those editions. Guess what, this new book doesn't have it either, but Amazon hides this crucial information in the "See more" section of the item description, so you'd have to click on it to see that this new book doesn't have a WileyPlus code! Why does this matter? On WileyPlus.com, online tutorial is available along with a copy of the textbook on the website! If you want to access it on your tablet or phone, which I don't recommend, you just need to pay $35 more. For $45 after that, you get a physical copy of the book. So why would you spend $230 for no online access, vs $215-220 on WileyPlus.com for the book and online access? As for the book itself, I have the 1996 (5th vs. 10th) edition, and a lot of the materials has been retained, while other materials were changed or added. I doubt you'll go wrong with an older edition unless you need the problems, which again are available at WileyPlus.
