Function.
Real nice cup. Top quality. However, the shape and thickness do make drinking out of it drippy. Not dripping out; just drips down your lip and or cup. We need to kinda lip-lick when removing if from our mouth after taking a sip of coffee.

Cute mug
I love this cup but when you put liquid in it sometimes if you drink at the wrong angle it catches some air pockets and the liquid will spray back up on you.
