Reasonable price - compact - works in suitable situations
I use this product on a sill in my bedroom. During winter months I often get condensation build up that takes a time to clear. First, I tried using the static disposal bead type unit with limited success. I wanted to try a more dynamic solution to see if this would resolve the issue.I do have a larger more power hungry dehumidifier, however this is expensive to run - especially given todays energy costs.I purchased this item due to its compact size and reported energy consumption - I also liked the price as I did not want to spend too much on an initial experiment. It uses a fragment of the power of my larger dehumidifier (For those remembering the pre energy saving light bulbs e.g a 60w filament, this uses a fraction of that power, so it’s consuming quite a bit less than of leaving one of those older lights switched on)With that, the trade off is that it’s clearly not powerful enough to extract effectively for larger rooms and is most suitable for small contained areas such as a cupboard/ wardrobe. But routing power into such places (to me at least) seems odd. However in my application it sits on a Sill, and at night sits behind our curtains which partially contains the unit and restricts airflow. Every morning I observe a very noticeable difference with minimum build up compared to before. I leave mine on all day and within a few more hours, after waking up as a combination of normal heating up through the day, and it’s efforts the area is completely dry.The unit is simple to use - the collecting tray again simple to take out and empty. There is nothing complicated about it. It does have some running noise, personally I don’t find it too noisy, I think it’s quiet - but that can vary person to person. I sleep next to mine if that makes any difference.I highly recommend this product, provided you have a suitable use for it. However given it’s relatively low power, don’t expect it to extract successfully in larger open rooms. If that is what you need, you have to take the hit and buy a bigger more expensive unit (which are also more expensive to run) so it’s a case by case assessment.Personally I may buy a second of these to use in another room (same application) due to the success I have had to date.

Size matters.
Ansio 500ml tank dehumidifier.Remember this is the smallest kind of electrical dehumidifier. Size does matter.I ran it 16 hours the first day and 11 hours the second and it trapped the water you see in the picture over that period.About 250ml in 27 hours. It works and definitely helps but its not enough for a bay window. I have this trapped behind curtains so only has the air between curtains and window to deal with. It clears a pathway through the centre of one window ( no condensation whatsoever) but not the whole window and baring in mind. The bay window is 3 windows wide. 3 of these would be needed in winter to deal with that small space I trapped which is; (8 foot by 7 foot and 5 inches wide). That's less space than a toilet cubicle. So I would only recommend this for a small single bedroom window. Anything else would be like using a drinking straw to drain a reservoir.Hope you found this helpful.UPDATE. 26/03/22. 4 MONTHS LATER.started leaving it running 24 hours a day for atleast 5 days a week sometimes 7 days a week for all that time. Its still running perfectly and absorbing the exact same amount so the pumps still at 100%.Considering its got some bad reviews im now starting to think they probably weren't looking after theres properly as after running mine for 4 months. 3 of wich were none stop 24/7 I'm 101% sure this is one of the best on the market for its size and definitely a suprise at the price. Love it and I can also report I have no damp patches from the winter condensation to repair on my huge bay windowsill in living room. Normally there are 2 large damp patches either side, that end up with black mould spots covering the damp.Wait for this,.... Zero damp zero mould. And all down to this little dehumidifier.AWE to the SOME = AWESOME 😙

A very effective little machine
I bought this following a bathroom leak. The smell of damp from a cupboard under the stairs was overwhelming. I tried the hanging damp removers which did help. This little machine is on a different planet. it is fantastic! I have had it running for approximately a month. At first I emptied it daily, when it is full the green light turns amber. I have it running from an extension lead into the cupboard with the door ajar. It is not noisy, there is a gentle humming sound. The smell has disappeared completely but its work is not yet done as I empty it every 5 days and it is still collecting water. Highly recommended.

Small but does the job!
Smaller than expected and does the job. I bought it for our laundry room, with a view to reduce condensation in the room and the need to use our tumble dryer. Most clothes dry in the room within 24 hours (some quicker). Thick waist bands, hoods of jumpers and jeans take a little bit longer. Great item for the price.

A must!
Having used disposable dehumidifiers before, I was sick of the cost and waste so thought to invest. And I’m very glad I did! Easy to set up, great size, no problems getting rid of water and it works!Quiet enough to leave on at night, and effective.I had such bad condensation round my windows and mould was developing, but with this, it now keeps my room dry with no mould. A great buy!

Not impressed- not good
I have 2 mini de-humidifiers working together. This one is useless. Not collected any water at all after 3 days whereas the other one (different brand) has.Ideally I’d return this item as not effective
