Fallkniven S1x Fixed 132mm Satin Blade Thermorun Handle, Black

An excellent offering from Fallkniven, probably their best effort.Pictured are some of the fixed blades in my collection, which includes other Fallkniven knives, ESEE, Mora, Bark River, Lionsteel and others.This knife beats them all.The part I believe they nailed best on this knife is the geometry of the blade. The convex grind, the steel used, and the easy re-sharpening of the steel, leads to an incredible knife for any camping, hunting or survival task.The sheath is excellent. It has a very secure locking mechanism and although there are reports of rattling in earlier models, mine had no such issue.I love the handle. I guess there are aftermarket ones but I wouldn't change a thing.For a production run knife, quality control and overall ability to get the job done are at the highest levels. Great job here to Fallkniven.

I really like this blade and the steel. The handle was a let down. I owned the original S1 and the handle was to small for my hand. I purchased S1x because I heard it was better and it was possible to replace hand scales.While driving a stake with the pommel one of the hand scales pealed back. What a let down, I repaired it with super glue. Anyway it’s a good survival knife. Because of the grind it stays sharp enough for finer tasks yet because of the weight it is a great chopper for the size. S1x is in my top 5, though I’ll be looking for after market hand scales.

Most expensive knife that I’ve ever bought. You get what you pay for though. Best quality of any knife that I’ve ever seen. I own a few Esee’s and Becker’s. They aren’t even in the ball park with this. I read a bunch of reviews about how the knife rattled in the sheath. The improved sheath is great, no rattling when it’s locked. The only slight complaint that I have is the scales. They’re a little thin for my taste and I prefer the feel of Micarta or G-10. Theses seem very durable and comfortable though. You won’t regret adding this to your collection. Almost too beautiful to use. Amazing blade!

It’s a well convexed hunk of laminated COS steel. Feather sticks well, splits well. Isn’t to large. Handle is on the small side but not to small.

This is a great all around outdoor knife. It's built to take a beating for sure. Nothing fancy, just hard sharp steel.The sheath, however, I'm not a fan of. Your knife will definitely be secure in it, but deploying it will be a struggle. Way tighter than it needs to be, especially since the sheet has a locking mechanism on it.
