Great to keep in pantry
This is a reorder. I don't use buttermilk that often or a full quart when I do. Having this powder on hand make it easy to make cornbread at the last minute, though it is better when made and refrigerated a few hours earlier or longer. It can be placed in a recipe as powder with dry ingredients for baking and water added separately with wet ingredients, but I don't think results are as good. I don't drink it plain but have tasted it and it tasted fine.

Powder for Cooking
The taste is not the same as buttermilk. It is good for making biscuits and cornbread. I mix it with the dry ingredients then a couple drops of lemon juice to the water. We cannot buy regular buttermilk were we live so this works for me.

I use it when I make cornbread. Then I don't have to keep unused liquid buttermilk in the fridge. Works great.
