Well made, already using it to sharpen my knives

Very smooth honing steel. Great for straightening very sharp and thin blade tips without removing any metal. It is smoother than the Victorinox 40587. See the attached pictures.Like sharpening stones with different grits, each have their purposes. The Friedr Dick 10" polished honing steel is better at just straightening the tip of the blade without removing any metal while the Victorinox 40587 is better at straightening the tip of the blade and removing a few of the fine loose burrs of an extremely thin and sharp blade.Both are great honing steels.

Very smooth steel honing rod, should not "sharpen" any knife. This is exactly what I was looking for and the price is fair for the quality of this product - it's very sturdy and I believe it will last a lifetime.

I use this for my reed knife for making oboe reeds. I love using this instead of a sharpening stone as it doesn't take off any metal. It is a good quality instrument and I haven't had any issues with it.

This steel does not sharpen knives. Or even keep them sharp for that matter. On another note, it takes longer than expected to receive the item. I do not recommend purchasing it.

Great honing steel! Very hard very smooth with long shaft. Works perfectly to align the blade before using.

Its the best steel keeps my all ready sharpened knife ready to go clean cuts but it took a little longer to get here then they had said that's why 4 stars. Got another one for my brother as well he likes it too.
